Steal because you'll get a SP reset scroll in red.
Our 2nd job mobbing is lacking as of now, but after RED Savage Blow becomes a very great mobbing skill. So useful in fact, that it still gets used in 4th job to chain together moves. Post RED, bandits will be more fun to play from what I've seen. Personally, I'd tough it out right now and just grind to as high as you can get before RED hits.
Just go for DB, they're way easier.

In my experience (having both classes and playing them often), DB's are much better "solo" bossers than Shad's are. And you don't really need massive amounts of funding to make either "good". If you're more into grinding, training and bossing with friends, go for Shad as they are the better mobbers (wish they'd streamline the buffing, though, as nine buffs every 180 secs is tedious compared to DB's 6). If you're into doing stuff on your own, DB is a more independent style class and has a high damage output however don't expect to look good until you're 15X or higher. When red rolls around, Shads look like they're being blessed, but I would neither confirm or deny that and DB's also look like they're getting some good changes implemented.

Shadower - DashFlare (200)
Dual Blade - DeadlyDash (190)

*both were 4th job characters before Big Bang came around*

Playing as a DB need minimal skillbooks funding, apart from that playing as an unfunded DB isn't that bad if u aren't a damage hoar

Shads have 45% dodge, 50% damage mitigation and iframes from bstep.
They have durability of a warrior and decent damage.
With minimal funding, you're better off choosing Shadower. Getting the skill books for DBs may also be a hassle for you if you don't have friends who are willing to help you out.
