Actually from the way this thread has been going, it's not really a popularity contest.
I think Eeveepony and Pavchka chould be moderators. Anyways, a good moderator has to be friendly, reasonable, logical, available, responsible, reportive, etc.
I vote Malapo. He's a likable guy, and knows the rules.
Only cuz' I dislike total rule-mongers like DrHye, Ravkin and so on and so forth

Alalme seemed like a real try-hard, but he'd definitely be good at it. Likely in the same was as Ravkin (I know you're probably gonna take offense to this, so I'm sorry about that in advance, although it's kinda a compliment at the same time).
Being friends with Hye, I'd have to support him on this. He's neutral (as in, doesn't take it too seriously, yet still reports, etc.), and just an all-around nice guy.
I think KewlEH should be a mod.

He's helped out Basil A LOT, and is pretty knowledgable about the rules
Moderators/Mr.B decide this ^_^
We can't really tell, since we don't monitor the ticket senders, which I think is the main reason a person should be a mod.
Along with maturity and some other factors.
I would have to say ZombieOverlord.
So that all basilers are protected from zombies
