Unbearable Town Lag
When it comes to lag, I feel like I'm a pretty patient person. Whenever my friends would use my old computer, they'd complain about the lag, but it never bothered me. I bought my current laptop about 2 years ago, and it still runs with minimal lag normally. My computer is not the issue, 99% of the time it doesn't even lag in the Scania ch1 free market. But lately the town lag has gotten so unbearable that I've had to rage quit from the game, or minimize and re-open the window to lower the lag for a few seconds. I know the issue has to do with the event npcs such as Maple Admin, Cassandra, and Gaga, because it doesn't lag in towns such as Aquarium where those 3 npcs aren't on the main map. I'm sure other people have had this issue as well. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

I get the same problem. It might be your computer it might not be, I know it's not mine cause I have way more then MS will need to run for a while. I've tried uninstalling and redownloading then reinstalling plenty of times and it never works. Usually I just bear with it and tele everywhere I go, once I'm at a training map I pretty much never leave cause of this reason...) after the next patch the lag usually disappears.

I get insane lag spikes when someone starts spamming. This applies to all the computers I've tried to run.
Left side of Henesys (the "Henehoe Spot"?): lags on less populated channels with no one there, switches to Ch 1, runs smooth there even with all those fancy wings and sht. Makes sense.

My computer has 2 years old, is not like i can afford the money to buy ANOTHER ONE actually.
i was actually stuck in henesys for 20 minutes before i had to relog and get stuck again. then the third time, i quickly walked to the side once i logged in
Atleast you can move in towns a bit, i cant get into any town cuz instantly my ms frozen and became unrespondible till itself crash. Post v142 i even lag randomly if i open something else more than ms, even lag inside fm. Nexon should try to lower the usage of cpu of their own games, before people end rage quitting.

Look, if it is over a year old and you STILL don't consider it junk, then the computer industry's marketing strategy is a colossal failure. It's outdated after like a month, K? -downloading something while typing this- "1 percent, 2 percent, 1 percent" "what?" -pounds fist into computer- "negative 1 percent" "Curse this outdated 1 month old technology!"
I also get this town lag actually, most of the times it IS pissing.
I dunno to buy another computer just to play this game, better wait for this one to get older and eventually get useless.
Look, unless it affects EVERYONE, which it doesn't, the blame should either be A. your computer, B. your router, C. your crummy internet connection, D. your client, which may be faultym or E. a combination of multiple or ALL of the above. Since, not EVERYONE suffers from town lag, the cause can in NO WAY be the servers.
@above, first off, you've CLEARLY never experienced the full fury of town lag, leastways not yet, and secondly, "that kind of money" could mean as much to the person that you are addressing, as what POCKET CHANGE means to you; it all depends on his income vs your income. like, if you were a lower class American while he was a billionare, you can assume that while you might need to save a year for a new computer that he'd have hundreds of times that much money to spare.
i haven't found a solution other than to avoid those towns as much as possible.
large maps like leafre or el nath in which those npcs are localized into a small area are somewhat bearable. (eg. you can try to walk to the far left or right of leafre and escape the lag [only works in certain channels now])
and yeah, a new/better computer will solve the lag problem, but "computer game lag" is a really dumb reason to spend that kind of money.
Be prepared for "get a new computer" responses.
I think it has to do with the processor personally.
