@shield i currently have a lv170 drk and want to switch it to hero (trust me you'll want to), but when i go to the job dude near leafre he tells me "you are not ready for this yet", that was a lv118, havnt tried since then but do i need a coin? or is it a quest i have to do?

@tianbozpear: Aran's aoe move doesn't kill normal mobs on the first hit? It freezes on the first hit. It can kill sh /sdh mobs in one hit, but it just doesn't feelthe same. I do have an aran though and it's fun to spam tempest, just not the same feeling.

Yea, definitely. Dragon Knights back in 2005 before Cygnus alongside Night Lords, Chief Bandits and Hero were best bossing classes back in the day. Combined with a Cleric/Bishop, when Horn Tail came out, was fun. This is all pre-BB. Even Pre-Cygnus when I quit LOL. GG Nexon.

But DrKs are still good and still great mobbers.

Stay. Don't switch. If you were a Paladin, you can explore Hero. But going from Spear/Polearm to 1H or 2H Sword or Mace is a waste. Paladin just got nerfed. Heros are good at the point. Why would you switch DrK for anyways. They got a nerf to Cross Surge but are still a fun class with fancy skills. The only thing I wish that Dark Knight had was the original dragon theme. From my experience as an absolute cheapskate who refuses to invest on equipment and tries to keep pot spending to a minimum, I was happy with a DK. Granted, I don't go bossing, but I managed to get the DK to 200. I'm already content with that. Depends on what your in-game goals are, I guess.
