Any fans of Metroid or Metroid music here?
Shinesparkers, a group of wonderful, well known video game remix music artists of various varieties, came together last year for Metroid's 25th anniversary and created an absolutely amazing album called Harmony of a Hunter. This is the absolute best Metroid remix album you'll find anywhere - even better than Metroid Metal.
Yesterday, November 17th, they released an expansion to that album - Harmony of a Hunter : 101% Run. It features 39 new tracks, on top of the 36 that were in the original album, and they have gone beyond that perfection that Harmony of a Hunter was.
If you're a fan of the Metroid series, I highly suggest giving these guys a listen. Their music is supreme. The quality is something you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere.

Metroid Metal is basically metal renditions of various tracks from the Metroid series. You can check them out here (without the need of downloading them) : http://www.metroidmetal.com/songs/
And actually, a song from Metroid Metal appears on the first Harmony of a Hunter album -"M2Q."

for the most part i found Metroid music to be really atmospheric...in the sense that i don't really remember it (but the game would've been lacking w/out it). i haven't even played much of the series and i've never done anything close to a 100% run, but i really like Metroid as a whole (even parts of Other M).
so i'll def be checking this out. curious how you'd summarize Metroid Metal though, since i've never heard of it.
