Alt Tab toggle hell
Just to preface, yes, I'm aware there are threads on this; my problem seems to be slightly different from the previous ones I've read though. Some people playing in full window mode have returned to maple and got the black screen of nothing, where as I don't even get that far. When I Alt+Tab out, I get stuck in this toggle hell where it bounces between desktop and maple indefinitely. Ctrl+Alt+Delete stops it long enough to pull the task manager up, but it resumes toggling so quickly I'm unable to see desktop long enough to end maplestory. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as restarting the damn computer every time is getting tiresome. Running Windows 7 if that's relevant; I had considered this might be related to the general compatibility issues between operating system and game. >_< Thanks much!

It's a W7 glitch. I get it occasionally too. It's annoying.
Excellent, thanks for the feedback. I've got my wee FM shop up now, and successfully Alt Tabbed out (this time...), but I'll try the F4 thing next time it get ornery on me. XD Mt condolences for your Zakum run, k9999; that's gotta suck.
What I do is I disconnect my internet and wait 15 seconds before maple closes.
Rofl, this happened to me when i was in a middle of a z-run.
Oh well.
I've been getting that on my brother's laptop that has W7.
I don't get it on either of our PCs though, but they're both running Vista.
I usually just open task manager and close Maple through it when it happens though. After all, you don't [i]have[/i] to use the mouse to close processes.
just keep spamming alt f4 and it should close it down when it bounces through screens.
I got this sometimes too, it's so annoying, the only thing you can do is restart your pc because it simply won't stop switching between black screen(ms) and desktop, and when you open Ctrl+Alt+Delete, then your mouse springs back to the center every black screen you get every 0.5 seconds, so you cant click to terminate ms! It really pisses me off lol!

do alt+enter before you alt tab, alt+enter brings it into window mode, not full screen
Ctrl+Alt+Del and log off your Windows account.
I got the same problem sometimes. Its usually when i go from windowed back to full.
