Quick question on maple 06 dana red
Hi, so I've recently logged on maplestory for the first time in approximately four to five years. When i logged on I saw a couple people actually with a 2006 maplestory red bandana on, which is the one I have on right now. Previous to me leaving, this item was extremely rare and there was I would say there about 5 in Scania. I am aware that there is an item called an "anvil" that allows other items look like other items, but in order to "anvil" something, does the player have to have this item in their inventory? Also, once you do anvil an item, is there any difference between the "anviled" item and the "real" item, or is there no difference at all? Thanks.

You can have either the original item or an anvil. In other words, if someone wanted to create an item with the appearance of a Red Maple Bandana, he or she could either have an original bandana, or another item anviled to look like it.
There is a difference between the original and the anviled item. An item anviled to look like another will retain its original stats. However, it's impossible to tell an anvil apart from an original unless you put it up in a trade window.
Anviled items are nice to have but collectors will still spend an arm or a leg to buy the real thing.
Learn the price before attempting to sell it cuz there'll be a lot of greedy people who will try swindling a returning player with a rare item.
