I want to learn how to draw

After years of seeing basilers create masterpieces, I'm quite intrigued by the art. If anyone's got some pro-tips on how to get started, it'd be much appreciated!

P.S. No, I will not "practice" by drawing your characters.

Get a sketch book and study porportions, shading (reflected light too), draw lots of different poses (these don't need to be detailed at all, you just need to understand the flow for this exercise) and study and draw clothing / armour. You should get pretty good overtime if you have the dedication, and you could also post some of your drawings for critique so we know where you are and help you improve.

Not sure how well can you draw, you can always start by replicating someone's work (give proper credit if you do post your work somewhere else though), depending on what you're try to draw...
I normally use pixiv/nicoseiga for my references for drawing characters. (Or you can use dev-arts as alternative or any other useful source)

Since you're more interested in drawing people... You might need to learn how to draw certain poses/styles

That's probably the fastest way if you have the dedications. If you're lacking the basic, mp003 already mentioned what you need.

As for coloring those though, I suck at those

You could start by getting a visual art diary and a pencil and just sketching the objects around you. That's a good way to start. Start off by drawing the basic shape (square etc) and add detail over time. It's much easier if the subject you are drawing is in front of you, not from memory.
