Oh my, I just looked at the new blunt weapon skill animations. <3 <3 <3 Fire and lightning look amazing and so much better than their sword counterpart. Holy charge looks terrible but I guess they have to balance the aesthetics out.

My Paladin will stick to her giant shield and tiny 1-handed mace though, because that is how I imaged her as a character. (Though, I guess my dream combination would be a shield and 1-handed spear.)
My paladin is still using a clean level 80 mace when fighting enemies that aren't above her level, which is basically all of the time. It's my favourite mace and I am considering making a 'perfect' one during this event. I guess that makes me just plain inane. (Not insane... well maybe that too.)

I almost feel silly for putting so much effort in my current mace while the cheap fafnir one blows my current mace out of the water like it's nothing.

2H pallies are easier to fund, since everyone would rather have shields scrolled for attack, which cost a lot, over a 2h blunt weapon that costs less than what it would take to perfect that shield, and cheaper still to perfect that 2h weapon since 2h blunt weapon scrolls are also quite cheap.
Like how spears are cheap since only 1 class type uses them (Dark Knights will have their day in the sun when every Demon Avenger wants their Hyper Bodies).

The new animations made me consider making a Paladin (and by this I mean that the viewing of these animations became the epoch of the eventuality that is my new Paladin).
Ive always liked blunt weapons from day 1...my paladin is a 1 hand mace user, i honestly dont see anything wrong with them? Then again people laughed at me for creating a "weak" gunner and yet once we hit 4th job..it was glorious.
I had a one-handed axe back when we still had to use slash blast to grind in third job, and people laughed at me for not having a shield and a clean axe. Same feelings sir.
the mace animations are just. pure. awesomeness. seriously, they are boss. unfortunately, i'm not using a mace, but i might get the lionheart mace if i get the full set, cos the mace looks much better than the sword.
I'm seriously considering coming back to Maplestory because of this. I built up a small fortune in tf2, so I could easily fund myself with 10-40 bil.
How much has MS changed since last September or so? Are anvils still available? I'm thinking about using the look I had back in Eden MS, so I'll need them.
@SilverBladez - None of it matters. Even after the "revamp" Paladins still suck. Even with the changes being made I'm still quitting mine when this patch comes to GMS.

Seeing a warrior with a 1h sword and shield, you can't tell if they are a hero or paladin at first glance but when you see a 2h BW user... there are no doubts
Heh you're the best! I wish I had known you back in the day! I used 2h bws up until 150 or so, then I really wanted to take advantage of the shield skills -.- so I switched to 1h bw I still have my old reverse bellocce and most of my older weapons on mules.
On a side note, I also used to have a guild in Windia called Paladin...the idea was the same as yours is now, but there were no pages/wks/paladins back then so it kinda fizzled.
