Opinion on Corsairs?
I was thinking about making a Corsair because I realized that there were almost no Corsairs around. What does the world of Basil think of corsairs? All opinions are welcome.

I was thinking about making a Corsair because I realized that there were almost no Corsairs around. What does the world of Basil think of corsairs? All opinions are welcome.

The only reason people think corsairs are rare is because of the lasting effect of being secluded to Jr.Newties Pre BB.Now,we can train almost anywhere other classes can without it being insufficient experience.Go to LHC and count how many corsairs you see per channel.
Corsairs are really common I'd know i have a sair on the same world as you too.
We're really hard to train from lv10 - 120. Then when lv120 comes, some mastery books that could be somewhat costly would be; Battleship Cannon 20, Bullseye 20, and Torp 30. Some worlds might have trouble finding them as well. Corsairs are fun even when your not funded but if you like outputting massive amounts of damage, It'll cost you A LOT of money. Guns are really expensive at the time and most funded corsairs aim for 120 ATT+ on their guns before they truely accept themselves as a corsair. If you want a cheap 120+ Gun, you're better off scrolling one. Endgame gun for non funded should be at least 90 ATT. Also, keep your Base STR low. (I made that mistake ... 80 STR Base, but I'm satisfied with my damage). Anything over 50 STR is pretty bad IMO. You're going to be well respected by a lot of people and Corsairs have really high DPM.
@PanteeMan: i guess, but its part of the sair playing style. If wanna be in boat 24/7 like that, they should just really make a mech =/

I think sairs are great bossers, so so grinders.. slow movement when attacking. Recoil helps and lots of skills to use. People say you spam Cannon.. but thats only some sairs. You can tap a key for Gaviota while Cannoning plus flame/ice Summon some octos, rapid fire a bit then recoil and airstrike.
2nd-3rd job wasnt that bad cause first time using flame and ice was so cool

Uhmm... Sairs are VERY common, you won't be rare by making one... Make a bishop or some other Mage to be rare

My guild member let me go on his Corsair, and I have to say they're pretty EPIC.
they leave a lot to be desired, but i play mine anyway.
