Question about ram memory

So I currently have 4 gigs of ram, and I'm thinking of buying 4 more, I checked my specs and everything, and my comp uses ddr2. However my current memory is at a lower speed than the ram I intend to buy. Is it best to buy identical pairs of memory (same speed/volt)? If so which brand would you reccomend?

im on 64 bit, 4 slots on motherboard, when i play games such as Aion or tera i can play fine, but my physical memory is on the 90s. and when i alt tab to do sumthing on desktop it gets really sluggish, until i exit the game.
How many RAM slots does your computer have?

Usually RAM is not the limiting step in computer speed and buying more usually has little to no effect on your computer.
Also this. I have 4GB of RAM and I don't think it has been the bottleneck on like anything I do.
yeah i read my manual and everything, ddr2, 8 gig max, so i guess i'll have to buy 2x 2x2
That would be 4 ram cards (or 3 if you have 1 4Gb already). Does your motherboard support 4 cards? Otherwise, you need 2 4Gb cards.

Did you check the number of slots you have? Also, is your operating system 64-bit?
