because it is better to just buy the game and get full access to the games features and not worry about the game not being installed properly and updates, etc.
and to support the developer, it's not like you should feel bad for EA because they are losing money
I should feel bad for a billiondollar company missing out on $40 lol .

If you know how to work them properly you get no issues
I just checked. The Sims 3 base game is about 6.5 gb. You should probably have 1 gb extra for saved games. Late Night is about 2.4 gb. Best expansion pack in my opinion.

source: I have all expansions and most stuff packs and some store content

@Liam You can try out this step-by-step guide for burning your sims to death

1. Put your sim in a 2x3 or other really small room
2. Place a refrigerator, counter, and stove in the room with the sim
3. Have the sim prepare a meal which requires the stove
4. While the sim is cooking the meal on the stove, cancel the prepare meal interaction with the food still on the stove/in the oven
5. Wait 30 sim minutes to one sim hour
6. Your stove should catch fire
7. Your sim should catch fire eventually

Have fun~!
fantastic thank you very much *w*

I had all of them up to University, including the stuff packs and it was around 50ish gigs. The regular game shouldn't be more than 6.7ish gigs.
well i have it alrdy from the ea games site, and a frd gifted it to me on steam. how big are the expansions usually? like 1 gig?
expansions packs can be around 8 gigs (like seasons and pets)
Accessory packs are usually less than 1 gig

when i downloaded it ''legally'' cough* the .ISO was about 5-6 gigs big
8 GB should be enough for the version without expansion packs
