My Opinion on Zero

I've been playing Zero since it came out yesterday and I have to say it's a pretty bad class. You're going to be stuck with pretty bad skills for awhile and they're not even creative. There's not a lot of buffs either. The only way to train is in dungeons which gets boring very quickly. You have to follow the quest line (1 Quest every 2 Levels) which again is very boring and repetitive as it's just quests on top of quests in dungeons. It's a very restrictive class in the sense that you have to level up to get the skills and to gain access to new places. You can go to the maple world and do anything you want but you just won't get EXP and you'll be faded.

I actually liek Zero
Although...:
-They should've toned down on the storyline I really disliked having to jsut spam *space* *space* space* over and over again reading some boring dialogue that sometimes didn't even hold value
-I LOVE the playstlye it's a ncie change from ctrl ctrl shift ctrl hold shift delete end for buffs repeat. The whole cool-down on skills and the chaining together of different combos make it less repetitive and less key-bashing like. I really liked the whole concept of the dungeons it felt more arcade like with the pots and drops but still it was great getting to the end of one and getting bonuses. It was actually really fun to grind on zero for me.
The quests just annoy me pick up 10 of this give it to this kill some of that but at least they reduced the amount you need to gather
It's really fun but I guess it ain't for everybody

It's too boring tapping on the same buttons to switch and all. Why can't they just start out at lv 1 like every other job then lvl up slowly? Getting new skills are hard and the lvl too, i'm really bored with Zero honestly. The expectation wasn't the way i wanted. Well ...

Okay, after playing Zero for a little while (God, okay, I couldn't stand to play it longer than two hours. Honestly!), I will say... bleh. The storyline seems fantastic, and I would like to follow it when it will be released in GMS. Yay! The secluded area is kind of nice for those who dislike being around tons of people constantly, and if you fancy bringing a friend along, you can invite them anyways, so there's that. Now, the gameplay. OH GOD NO! Granted, playing with only 5 skills (which is really only two keys on your keyboard, since they chain together automagically), I haven't gotten the full feel of the class. However, the skills chain together without a pause between skills. Say you press the attack key three times, you do three consecutive attacks, which are three separate skills. Great! Now, say you attack one monster and it kills it, so you don't continue the full chain. Well, go to the next monster and attack, and it starts the chain where you left off. This doesn't feel fluid AT ALL! Personally, I want the chains to start from the beginning. Give it a cooldown of 1-1.5 seconds or something, at least. Also, and this may be personal experience with lag, but Alpha's third attack when you begin your adventure takes forever to activate. Yes, I have stood for a whole second after pressing the key three times just waiting for the skill to activate and teleport to the next monster, and sometimes it doesn't even move to the monster, which wastes time and becomes annoying and frustrating. Beta is slow as BALLS, but feels more like a traditional warrior. Alpha, as has been mentioned before, moves and attacks like a Hayato, which is fun when everything runs smoothly. Tagging between the two is fun, and I'd love to try it with higher-leveled skills, but I just can't bring myself to level it given the problems I have with it.

OT: The skills are fun, although not the most creative. (BTW, are we still complaining about creativity with skills? C'mon, it's 2013, they've already run the gamut on creativity. Give it up.) The dungeons are boring, but HEY it's easy training. I mean potions drop continuously for you, and you get plenty of Timic Coins, Honor Badges and you can get cubes from the bosses. That sounds a lot better than regular training, honestly. Too bad it continues for 80 levels :O
Also, it's a one-time only character (at least from what I've read in orangemushroom - dunno if they corrected it), so I guess it won't hurt having it as a spare.
It would hella suck if you got your account taken by a hacker, though. >.<

ACTUALLY - i played Zero and I have to disagree, this is because I LOVE story based characters and the play style is insane So fast and intense - i do see where you are coming from though - but being faded in maple world...I WONDER WHY? Because of all them trolls ksing the other people who are not Zero's thats why they didn't want them in Maple World.

OVERALL - it all depends on what you like, personal preference!

"You have to follow the quest line"

That's a good thing.

The story of the quest line and the the complexity of game play makes it interesting for me. I guess you'd need more patience and a longer attention span to play that class

I like that a bit ._. although it'll be something to do to alleviate my boredom. It's a new system but I'm not surprised that it's not creative. My only say is can you create something right now that works? It's been a long time since I did any quests so this is like a revival of quests......only for one class.......egh whatever.
Nahh, i played it on Kms, you start off at 100, but have to stay at the mirror world til 180 (+ chapters done). I love doing stories and quests, like Pre BB.
The quests would be nice if they didn't involve nearly all in dungeons.

Maplestory is pretty much boring and repetitive in general. Believe me, I have played and mained an Aran and a Battle Mage. You can't get any repetitive than that.
So for me, I wouldn't care if it's repetitive, I'd take anything new anyday. I love playing different play styles.
TL;DR: I want to experience it for my self.

I also have a KMS account.
I like everything about Zero except the Lv180 restriction thing. What were they thinking?

I wish all classes had a main questline like that...I actually follow it and get into it.
