I love my future child, so I wouldn't want it to be born in this world we live in now. </3
I have heard this several times. I personally think it isn't selfish compared to people having kids when they don't want one.
If anything, it's selfless. You are not contributing to the many problems this world faces by refraining to produce more humans.
If everyone had at least one children, Earth's precious resources would be depleted even more quickly, and we'd have to mass produce more food. Therefore, voluntary childlessness is selfless.
? i dont see how that can be justified
apparently it's selfish because by not giving life (and putting that life before your own), you are putting yourself first -> selfish.
a few silly classmates of mine said this a while ago, and now i think about how untrue it is.
I think those people are stupid.
So I guess all those people that practice celibacy due to their religion/practices are selfish?
this is the first time I've heard of this phrase.
Is it when someone uses their age as an excuse to do or say stupid things?
i dont know anyone who says that, but I can see why, someone thinking that you want to enjoy your life more independently and not be weighed down by the responsibility to be a parent

I was hoping you could tell me. Too many silly threads, was hoping for one with a deep discussion.
I might not be getting it, but are you saying that me not wanting kids is wrong? I don't care though, since I don't use condoms.
I think they're damn melons.
Why is it selfish?
