New to Gollux

So I finished the Gollux prequests on my Hayato and I've decided that I want to actually try and Gollux a lot (Since the preqs are such a pain). I can take down easy mode gollux without any problem but as son as I try Normal gollux I get shrekt. My damage isn't an issue, it's the surviving that I can't handle, I'm dying before I can finish buffing. Does anyone have any tips for doing normal gollux? What parts to kill, where to stand when killing the head?

For rebuffing. If the hand is on the right side, just go to the far left out of range of the breath. Also, break up ur buffs. Do 2 buffs then attack some. Then do 2 more, and so on until ur done. It's hard to get 3 buffs in between attacks, depending on the char.

Edit:
Also, I advise killing the shoulder on ur right, his left. This will keep the left side free when you're at the head, so you don't have to worry about 1hko right when u come in, and on the 2nd stage, don't have to worry about his hand after using the teleporter.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm going to try it again tomorrow and hope it goes better than it did today.

As a Paladin, I know all about slow buffs.

Here's a trick: If you get hit by the curse, you can't exit the map to rebuff and are likely to be killed again while rebuffing. The trick is to make absolutely sure you give yourself maximum time to get to the portal before respawning. Don't respawn in there are mobs near his face. Wait for them to run into him.

Hayato's skill seem to have good range, you should be able to avoid the breath attacks all together. The 1hko hand comes from the shoulder you left alive, if you kill the 'left' shoulder on the mini map, the right side of gollux will be disabled and you should stand on the side that does not have the 1hko hand. If you find that you can't kill the minions when standing far away, then stand close to gollux and when he attacks, use hitori strike or surging blade to move to the other side.

1) unless you're doing Hell Gollux, the abdomen would be your first choice to kill. if you're doing normal, kill w/e shoulder, and if you're doing easy, then - well...
2) Buff well before going in. have your stance active, it will prove effective when you pass by the mobs.
3) remain close to the portal located below the chin of gollux. if gollux is face right, move to the left, and vice versa. just attack, and avoid being on the same side of gollux. It's not a drag at all, since during his attack animation you can pull enough attacks to deal serious damage.
4) Once you reach the eye stage, you'll be in a disadvantage due to being unable to hit the mobs down there; in that case, hit hard, hit fast, avoid getting caught, no real trick here.
5) In the eyes stage, once you teleport up, walk into the edge of the platform, as far as you can from the eyes. this way you're out of his attack range, and he won't reach you.
6) The ONLY acceptable potion durong the whole run, would be Power Elixir.
7) During the forehead part, I believe you should be able to kill it fast enough to ignore the mobs entirely (in hard mode, unfunded people 2/3 HKO the forehead, so...)

@SmashFace: I'd suggest maybe level 165 and try Elixers and Power Elixers.
Maybe get a Kaiser Link for HP or buy %hp equips because it seems you're loosing too much HP too fast. Also what pots are you using?
Well I have 25k HP and I am using a potion pot. Also I'm only level 158 so maybe I should wait till I'm a higher level and have more HP?
