The saddest video game you have ever played?
Okay, so I have been playing a variety of games and genres, and RARELY have I come across a game that teared me up or actually made me cry.
So.. the games that have made ME cry are Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2. Despite being a spin-off of the actual game, the story line was really deep and thoughtful. And [b]SPOILERS:[/b] In the end, where you are disappearing from the world because you don't exist anymore, [b]END SPOILERS[/b] That made me tear up because you went through so much with your partner and you have to part with him/her. Oh goodness, I couldn't stop crying (the music was fitting too)
Ahaha, I know. You're probably thinking [i]Wow, what a wuss[/i], but it be nice to keep those opinions to yourself.
Anyway, what are some tear-jerking games that made you cry?

I have yet to play a sad game in my life. Don't plan to, either. But sometimes it can be touching, but that's different from being sad.
I wouldn't play a game that would make me cry.
The kingdom hearts games haha
particularly Birth By Sleep and 358/2 days..they moved me quite a bit.

For me nothing beats Final Fantasy Crisis Core. You know its coming from the start of the game yet the way they show it is incredible.
Edit: Ohh and i forgot Metal Gear Snake Eater. The story of what big boss did that you hear about at the end is also amazing.

I'm sure it's just me, but the scene after you defeat Alice and Decus in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World always tears me up.

The saddest game for me was Grandia, lol it got to the point where I couldn't even finish the game.
Saddest game that I have completed was probably FFX
Lufia, at the end Maxim and Selan died D: R.I.P
Well most of the games I play are like action, first-person shooter, etc. I can only applaud at how good and action-y the story was, not cry over it xD.

FFVII Crisis Core by a long shot.
I even knew what was going to happen by playing the original FFVII, and it still made me hold back a few tears.

Hmm, I cried from Sonic Adventure Battle 2 near the end of the Hero's mission mode when I thought Sonic got shot into space and exploded. T_T
Oh man there were several games that have made me tear up. Most of them were a long time ago, so I can't remember specifically, but the most recent was FF13. The ending made me sad
EDIT: How are you guys choking up over PMD? And KH too! I'm so confused...
Has Cave Story been mentioned at all in this thread? Cave Story was amazing. The pixelated graphics just made the scene (players will know what I mean) so much more intense. I didn't cry, but I think that's the closest I ever got from playing a game.

Persona 3 the ending at the end of the game was so sad...the end made me depressed for a week and made my grades drop in school.

Not a big gamer so i'd say ending of modern warfare 1, halo reach, gears of war 2, and when ghost and roach get killed by shepard in mw2

Metal Gear Solid 3 and 4. I cried the most on 3 though cause the story behind it was just so amazing. I cried at the end of part 4 considering I would no longer be able to play another game with my favorite war hero. I'm looking forward to Metal Gear Solid Rising though with Cyborg Ninja Raiden. Learning about his disappearance would be interesting.
Red Dead Redemption. i seriously didn't see that coming at all ;(

Rockman X4 (All of Zero's storyline, [EX: -Spoiler- Having to kill his lover and her brother] and the opening video for him was pretty gruesome.)
Rockman Zero 4 (The ending was depressing)
Super Adventure Rockman (That was the darkest game ever made in it's series. I at least think so. Especially if you end up selecting "Give up."
Riviera: The Promised Land (The ending was somewhat sad.)

All the tales series i've played make me cry like a baby. The voice acting is some of the best i've ever heard.

Mario and Luigi Partners in Time. At the end the baby versions part way with the older versions.
