I'm officially locking this thread, people get riled up too easily when it comes to Nexon.

@Whataburger: This is why I said why does everyone else have to suffer for Nexon's stupidity. I mean Im sorry that this has happened in Kradia and stuff but it hasn't happened anywhere else so why did they shut down all the servers?

Boohoo! Without the SC there will be a lot of bugs and gltiches which you will complain about so shut your mouth and be patient.

Whenever someone talks about their grammar, they really try to make sure they don't make a mistake. And, yeah, I am so pissed at how you said you would be able to fix the problem better than Nexon's tech crew. You probably have no idea what you are even talking about.

All you people saying be thankful they didn't close maple down for 3 months or grateful they didn't close it for good. Why should anyone be thankful or grateful about a game? If they shut down maple i wouldn't really care because it doesn't benefit me in any way. All you people as i said before saying things about being grateful and thankful are the real ones addicted, like really WHY WOULD YOU BE GRATEFUL ABOUT MAPLE?

Lets look at it this way. If you all are so upset about how Nexon isn't doing their job, how about you just quit Maplestory so the rest of us who don't mind can play without listening to your complaints. Deal?

Trying to reason like this within these forums is like the epitome of a waste of time and is just trolling because it really does not have anything to do with the forum thread at all... Tbh, I think that Nexon is doing a (and I use this word loosely) decent job. I just think all of the hacking and exploiting done by the players are the real reason the game is being ruined. And I know this can go both ways by saying "if Nexon didn't fail at SCs, there wouldn't be anything to hack or exploit," but just because there IS something to hack/exploit doesn't mean you should do it.

Yea they know they made a mistake, so of course they have to make a maintenance to fix it. Would you rather them give you an extra 2 hours to play while others are still hell banned? If you complained about them hellbanning then I get it, but complaining over this maintenance is stupid

Isn't the maintenance 14 hours..

I agree that they should hire a more competent maintenance team. However, how do we actually know how a competent maintenance team will behave? I mean, it's not like there's a score for every maintenance team that shows which is better than which. Still, yes of course i know that there'll be visible effects that are seen in the game eventually. Those are my thoughts though, however.

Not everyone.. every company just strives to make as many people as possible happy, not all of them, never..

@sordojohn: just let them work dont complain and wait for them to finish. When theyre done we'll be able to play and everyone who was hellbanned will be able to play again ok. Everyone will be happy

This is my major point. I' don't go out of my way to complain. The ascension patch was an update, and I didn't mind, I was infact happy.

The point I was making was simply that
1. The original maintenance was to fix an issue
2.The extension was to sort out a problem they had during the maintenance
3.Even after that, they needed to go back and start all over again, and also, they probably should have noticed the problem during the extension and just re-extended.

I somewhat agree. I don't think it has to do with the fact that most of their players aren't 18+, because there are a lot of younger people that are mature on basil and MS. But if it was pay-to-play, I do feel like they would step their game up.

I'll be sure to cite this thread next time I get into an argument about how the community is worse than Nexon itself.

Well. That's the beauty of inference that us humans possess. I think Nexon's real problem is their inability to assume/admit their mistakes and blame it on their players, well not all the time but there are alot of cases where they do. I think they can only affrod to work like this because most of their players aren't 18+ (I'm not sure if it really is the reason), and the fact that this game is free to play.

Wow man this guy is good 1guy from the 1990s who never seen Maple or maybe even a computer can SINGLE singlehandedly fix the whole game within 2 hours *claps claps* Just kidding you're over exaggerating so much that it doesn't even make sense...

@DarkMike162: I was making an exaggeration, I have little to no knowledge in programming. I was just making the point that their history in this area is terrible. This game has had so many meltdowns it aint funny.

You do notice they do it every time they don't know or have to fix whats the problem right?

They try to fix what they need to do, They guess on what time they finish or estimate how much needed.
They don't always get it correct, And I don't see why you can't just be patient.
It's not that hard really, Just do something otherwise camping around the computer and watching the SC end.
I suggest to read a book you are interested on, Or watch TV otherwise than on computer 24/7.

Yes, you have a right to fair, constructive feedback and you've every single right to be disappointed at Nexon. BUT. If you don't want to receive flames due to accidental loopholes you make in your argument, just be over-cautious and write down some points you agree with Nexon. This shows people you're not just being wholly biased. In my point of view, that is how an argument or even a complaint should be laid out.

Some people these days take everything for granted. Computer games weren't always there and MapleStory didn't exist until about 6 - 8 years ago. If you were born before those times, how would you survive?

The majority of the people on this thread seem to make this personal against me. Apparently you don't have the right to a fair and in this case suitable complaint without being fat, a baby, or "whining".
