Quit for 3 years need advice
So I've been off the maplestory binge for over three years now and I am hoping that some of you could give me some help. So I decided to take the tough route and create a new character in a new server with absolutely no funds. I will not be buying any NX (except for a shop permit) since I want to experience the game through the lenses of a unfunded gamer. I choose the Cannoneer class as my main since I enjoy it and was a huge Corsair user (Vividshot of Demethos if any of you remember me). I want to keep merchanting at a low and merely want to grind myself into oblivion while searching for items which have value (I will be selling the items on a afk mule on another computer). So basically:
tldr;
1. where to train for drops for 80+
2. what to focus on concerning link skills for a cannoneer
3. what is the best way to merchant (what sells these days, is it still GFA, wgs, scrolls, etc)
4. What are the money making quests/item gaining quests (that are worth doing)
5. time isn't an issue, I want enjoyment and drops

also big spider is a mob in verne mine (of edelstein) and its familiar increases drop rate
How much do ABR recipes go for?

Neo City gives class-specific mmb
@spineshankd: GAZED refers to the server alliance of Galacia, Arcania, Zenith, El Nido, and Demethos respectively.
What is a server alliance you ask?
Well awhile back, Nexon finally did something about the death servers and made them into sort of one server. The characters can interact with each other, but things such as link skills and character cards will not overlap.
ie. If your Cannoneer is in Demethos, only characters of Demethos could possibly benefit from its link skill.

Of course it won't affect my personal life, thank you for your input fellow basiler! Also one thing what do you mean by big spider and familiar? (GAZED? what is that?)
Evo world is a terrific place to grind at lv100 to 140. In it, you can use special "cores" to have the monsters drop lv110 weapons, often, these weapons come with hidden potential. Sell these weapons according to weapon and job demand.
1. big spider at lv72 for the familiar, but if it must be lv80+, Master Death Teddy at lv116 drops ABR recipe
3. GFA 60%s worth a lot (or at least in GAZED)
4. LHC quest line gives MMB for your class, Golden Temple and Neo City quest lines also give MMBs (not for your class though)
5. just make sure it doesn't effect you irl
