banned for screen recording?

Hiya guys ~ I record videos and upload them to YT and stuff like that, and it was brought up to my attention that you can be banned for recording, since maple recognizes it as a third party program paired with the .exe, can anyone add some back-up information to this, such as how often this may occur, or any proof of it actually happening?

As long as you don't record anything against the ToS, like botters, you'll be fine.

you dont get banned for recording ms since it doesn't interact directly with the game

Just make sure you're not massively lagging and recording at the same time, and you should be good.

And infact some games have their own recording systems just to get this free coverage! So, no, you won't get banned.

Their autoban system might detect your program as hacks if you use a sketchy program, but that's unlikely. you should be fine as long as you don't use your maplestory videos as a way to make money.

Why would Nexon do this? They're basically getting more coverage since Nexon sucks with event coverage anyways. Why would they pay people to do commercials when they can have youtubers do it for free? More people have exposure to the game, more players, more revenue is generated.

If you watch a cubing video and you see the guy make a godly weapon, wouldn't that make you want to buy cubes too?

Edit: Adding to my point, most of the people who do screen record actively are active players and have a good history of spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the game. Why ban someone spending so much money?
