Do you still need to pay for masterybooks?
Since I'm starting in a new world with some buddies I'm kind of afraid about the masterybook (or skillbooks I don't remember) issue. I haven't played in a while, have they fixed this or am I screwed for picking db or something like that?

Remember when genesis 30 were going for 1bil... And then genesis got nerfed and the price went downhill so fast
some quests also give mastery books as a reward.
the guy that asks you to kill Captn Latanica gives a mastery book 20 (i think he offers you to choose between 20 and 30, but my memory is fuzzy)
iirc the guy who gives you the entrance tickets to fight Scarlion/Targa also gives the mastery book
A fair amount of the fourth job theme dungeons also give mastery books (Golden Temple, Grand Anatheum, Fantasy Theme Park, off the top of my head).
@Sprouts: well, a couple days ago, you could sell leaves at a rate of 1 leaf = 10-15k or so. In Kradia anyways.
DI dropped leaves like candy, and many poor people were selling thousands of leaves to high level players.
We also had Black Bean, which is an easy boss that drops a lot of potions with very high resale value in shops. you could literally get 3m a day from slaying Black Bean alone.
this is not the case anymore though, since they nerfed the drop rate, so you'll probably only make like 1m now.

Is money easy to come by even when I'm starting fresh? Sorry I don't really remember the game at all haha.
