Splatoon Rainmaker Mode
Anybody else excited for this new ranked battle mode? I'm a bit worn out from splat zones and tower control tbh o.o

ok so it was more fun than i expected. especially on saltspray. hmph
I'm excited to play it.
I'm gonna start right now after I set up shop in Maple.
I'm having a bunch of fun with this mode! Of course, I'm kinda losing alot...but it's still better than being suspended above a lake <3
@bluebomber24:
Disruptors are an amazing sub weapon, I can definitely see it being a huge advantage. I myself have been leaning more towards blasters, specifically both the regular Blaster for having Disruptors and Ranged Blaster for Splash Wall. Echolocator will also be a great advantage as well.
EDIT: I completely forgot about Opening Gambit, head starts are always pretty nice.

Tower Control doesn't just go mid....it goes a set route. This new mode is more player based.
@ipodftw
Its interesting. Since I use the Nozzlenose only in ranked, I am curious how the weapon and the gears I have will work for it. Dirsuptors should be amazing and swim/run speed up gear should also do well. That's litterally my entire playstyle so I can't wait.

I mean, it's gonna start that way regardless, but I see more possible routes with this new mode than Tower Control. Honestly, mid would be the most predictable route for this mode, and in my opinion, I would probably think that it will be tough to push through that way. My only hope is that the Rainmaker will not be visible on the game pad. If you still want to see this new mode as tower control, that's fine, but I have much higher hopes for it.

Still waiting too see if they add squid zombies.

Yeah, but Tower Control has a set path, while Rainmaker doesn't. I find it to be a more interesting challenge because (for example) the team who does not have the Rainmaker in possession will have to predict which path the other team will try to take into their base. That's just how I see it, though.
