I need to catch up on recent updates

So I've quit Maplestory for a little while, and I want to know what happened during the time I was gone. I quit right after the old PvP system was removed, and before the new one was implemented.

What new classes were released (because Nexon never stops), what changes were made to class skills, what is the new PvP like? Where there any memorable events that happened? Can you explain how the new classes are played (and don't say they're OP, we all know). What about new, overpowered items that can only be found by paying massive amounts of NX? I'll like to know these things in detail. Thanks

@Staggering Asking the Basil community will rarely net you good results.

Anyway, new content since you left.

Jett: Pirate/Space Cowboy/girl that plays like a weird Corsair/Buccaneer mix-breed.
Phantom: Thief that can steal active Explorer skills (some restrictions). Play style is very cool, IMO.
Mihile: A Warrior that shoots lasers, has pretty decent defensive capabilities and nice attacks. A bit boring, though.

Explorer Thieves/Pirates got a massive revamp. Pirates now have very different play styles.

New Potential lines, Nebulites (dunno if this is new to you) and Additional Potential. Additional Potential requires an ENORMOUS amount of NX to get good stats, and is usually not worth it.

New PvP sucks. That's all I'm going to say on that front.

New place called Aswan, which introduced Inner Abilities. It's kind of like a Monster Park-esque place, but you have certain objectives/difficulties/modes. Inner Abilities can be modified using items you get from completing Aswan/leveling up your Honour (that's how you unlock the Inner Abilities).

Halloween events were pretty good. They brought back Beauty Coupons for a small while, Olivia PQ and Dark Tokens are back, and the new Halloween quests give nice prizes (new chair, etc.).

I think that brings us up to the newest version.

No offense taken, but I think it's better for me to ask the basil community about changes they were happy with, and which ones made them angry. Also, simply reading patch notes or forums for the last few months would be pretty boring
