The Impossible question. dun dun duhhh
ok, who ever answers this gets 1m nx. if 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 1 why does 1 divided by 3 = .3333333333
edit: yeah i know im trying to change the fraction into a decimal but look at it this way, i was trying to get you something to think about in the middle of a math lecture.

.99999999999999999999999999999 is ever repeating. its like pi only not really.
OT: Why is the world round >.>

dude decimals are ftw. down with fractions.
Decimals are confusing, why would you bring them into this?
0.33333333333333 and so on is pretty much 1/3. 33*3 is pretty much 100.
That question is in a fraction form,
Therefore the answer will be a fraction,
1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 3/3 = 1,
ding ding ding! i kinda spent the nx... but you get a COOKIE
you realise that .9999999 is still NOT 1 you just round it therefore it will not add up to 1.
42.
Because it is the answer to life, the universe and everything.
1/3 =/= 0.333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333.....
This is because 0.33333333333333333333333333333333... will never add up to 1, which 3x1/3 does.
Example:
3x1/3
=1
While:
0.33333333333333333333333x3
=0.99999999999999999999999999
Therefore:
0.9999999999999999999999999=/= 1
our number system is flawed
nice trys but you guys still aren't correct.

learned all I need to know.
Because it's a continous decimal, so that it adds to .999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999...and goes on, which rounds up to 1 because people like to keep things basic.
Ya dig?
Actually, it doesn't round up to 1. It is equal to 1.
Lets just pretend they're right. -cough-
Because that's what the calculator says
