Experienced Phantoms, I need your assistance

Okay, just I've just hit 4th job and I've got a couple of questions since there are no updated Phantom guides anywhere.

Firstly, I've seen things about Macro'ing Rapier/Penombre, is this no longer possible as I don't seem to be able to add Penombre to a macro? Also, I'm not really sure what I should max out first? What's the most useful out of Cane Expert and Aria?

I've almost never used rapier and penombre... in fact, I don't even think I have them on my keyboard skill layout.
Cane expert and Aria are both important. I tend to max the passives first, so maybe go for Cane expert, but just max whatever you can afford first.

Expert then Aria. Expert will balance your damage and make it more stable plus it will add some +attack. Aria instead just adds %attack which is not bad but Balanced damage over %damage? I think you know the answer.

For the case of Rapier and Penombre, Penombre's good for training if you have low funds, it hits very high numbers, however, Rapier+Penombre is not a good combo for training. I would only use these skills to clear mobs in 1 hit just like Hilla's pre-stages or Root Abyss pre-stages and avoid bosses attacks just like Root Abyss bosses.

Awesome, that clears it all up for me! I think I'll go Mastery first, get the "boring" skill out of the way early.
Honestly I never use Rapier and rarely use Penombre, to me they aren't significant enough to even put on my keyboard but for you I would just put them on keys that are near eachother and easy to reach with your fingers. Also for myself, I maxed Cane Expert first for damage stability then went for Aria second.
I'm not experienced however, ALWAYS max XXXXX expert before anything. That's basically the golden rule for more stable damage. You can no longer macro penombre, however, penombre will only be useful to u up until aliens (once I got to LHC I did not use penombre as an attacking skill, just for the lulz of it). On that same sense, I don't use rapier either XD. I hope that helps.

Well, you don't really need to macro them, as they are easy to link by putting them on skill keys close together. I maxed carte noir, cane expert, then aria if that helps. I liked the extra avoid because we don't have lots of HP.

Hi there! Im only lvl 163, Im not sure if this counts as 'experienced' but, anyways, if you cant macro Rapier and penombre, just put them into diferent keys (like X and C, or A and D). What to max first...Im not sure. I have 20sp to max both, since I've failed 6 cane expert 30 and 5 priere d'aria 30. I think you should go for cane expert for grinding, and aria for bossing (NOT.SURE.)
