This time we're looking for drawings of your favourite foods looking all yummy and delicious! As the subject is food, please have the focal point being the food, not random people eating the food. We don't care if your Maple Story character is nomming on it, we wanna see the deliciousness as the star! Having trouble making it look as enticing and appetising as it tastes? Food photography and styling is serious business, don't you know. Here's some links that may or may not help you out with a quick skim read. Okay, so, apparently the kanji used are "su" and "ama", so the pronunciation would probably be soo-ah-mah.

I don't know how it's pronounced, but I definitely know it's not spelt like that. :x

Sorry, things have been busy non-stop for me in the past week. I'm afraid I will be cancelling this tournament and holding another one in the summer where people will hopefully have more time to submit entries. I'm really sorry as I know how much work people have been putting into this, but I just can't hold a tournament where only 5 people have submitted something, it's just not a competition and it's barely been a competition so far anyway. I hope the people who have submitted drawings have at least found it beneficial towards improving their drawing skills and have found it an enjoyable experience anyway. Again, I am really sorry, but I am also pretty upset about the lack of participation as well. I know it's not anyone's fault, I understand that people have other priorities that are important, but it's just a disappointment, especially with how much hard work that the participants, myself and the judges have put into this. I hope everyone can be understanding about all this.

I know it's not much of a prize, but I will still be drawing everyone who has entered, eventually. If anyone would like me to message or email them when the next one is open, feel free to drop me a PM. I may be holding a drawing group in the future where it's a similar concept but without the competitiveness, so the aim of the project would to improve our drawing skills in a wider range of categories. Again, if you would like me to message you when/if that happens, PM me.

So again, I am really sorry about all this, and I just hope the next one will be a lot more successful. Thank you for everyone for participating,

Honestly, I've only gotten 6 entries this round and this thing has barely been a competition so far anyway. I dunno, I guess I'm just upset because all that hard work from the participants and the team has gone to waste. Blahhhhh

this is disappointing. Why don't the people who pass just move into the last 8 or 4 slots (given that you are limited on entries)? At least it'll be a worthwhile last/second to last round knowing that people are willing to make the last stretch.

@suama: Oh, uhm, just to clarify, can I have non-food thingamawhats in the piece of art? The food is the main focus, but I also have the outline of a person, and I am considering drawing a beach background (given enough time and motivation). That would be okay, right?

@pinksinsftw: you could always draw it on SAI and then press prtsc (print screen) and paste it onto ms paint. It won't be as high quality but I used to do that all the time with a trial i had of open canvas

print screen basically copies the whole screen of the monitor kind of like doing ctrl-c
