When the Canadian Dollar was more Expensive than Ud

The real chart (click).
Today canadians pays $10 for 7800 NX

But back then, canadians were paying more than the real price for NX, since CAD used to worth more than USD. Isn't this incredible.

[header]How is this fair?[/header]
This doesn't end here, according to officials currency conversions since a few days by now, $10 usd is $8,27 cad, which means the fellow Canadians must receive 8270 NX instead of the 7800 that they're currently receiving for 10.000 NX. Shall we continue? It's an undercover scam upon the eyes of everybody. Nexon found an exploit (not updating conversions in real time) that they are using against canadians, australians, new zealanders, and rest. Wake up guys!
[header][/header]
$10CAD = 7.8k NX cash BUT $10CAD = $8.27USD ... Difference = About 400 NX cash
$10AUD = 7k NX cash BUT $10AUD = $7.85USD ... Difference = About 800 NX cash
$10NZD = 7k NX cash BUT $10NZD = $7.54USD ... Difference = About 500 NX cash
It seems easier, but it makes it more complicated for people that buy it from convenience stores. Prices appear more ideal when they come in round numbers, without any change. It'd be more convenient for me to walk in a store, hand in a $10 bill, and get out. But also, Nexon wants to have it so that people can pay the same amount as they habitually get, but just receive less Nx.
Either way, 10k NX is still going to cost $12.11 CAD. The prices for 10k cards in stores should be set at $12.11 and then players get the full 10k NX instead of making players pay $10 CAD and get an odd amount of NX. Because yes, it IS nice to have things in a nice square number like 10, 25, and 50. But what if a Canadian player needs 25k NX? How many codes will they have to purchase in increments of $10 or $25 CAD just for 25k NX?

Change the price of the card, not the amount of redeemable NX is all I'm saying. Because at least you're getting exactly what the card says: "10k NX".

Are people still complaining about this? You guys got cheaper NX for so long, now it's fair for everyone. It's being changed now because the difference between USD/CAD is more than ever before (see your own chart for evidence). Get over it.
You have it backwards.

1 CAD = 0.82 USD
25 CAD = 20.87 USD

Conversely: 25 USD = 30.24 CAD

Because Karma Koins are 1 NX = 1 USD, until now Canadian players (and players whose currency is worth less than the USD) have been underpaying for their NX codes. This is a financial loss on Nexon's part. A big one. And like any other business, they rectified the problem.

I agree with you that to make things easier, they should've adjusted the price for a 10k NX code itself (like $12.10 CAD for a 10k code) instead of having you pay $10 CAD for 7.8k NX or however much it's worth.

This example will be in Current Canadian currency.
So let's say $.82 CAD = $1.00 USD
This would mean $8.20 CAD = $10.00 USD

However, the banks will charge a fee for currency conversion, much the same as paypal charges you to convert currencies.

10k CAD nx = 7.9k meaning that $.03 from each dollar is taken for that conversion cost. Basically what this means is, no matter where you're from you will be paying the USD amount for the code + the conversion fee amount. What this means is that every other country that is purchasing NX has actually been paying less than the value for the codes.

However, personally I believe that they should've upped the prices to match that of a 10k code, so the 10k code = 10k code but would cost a higher amount in CAD. This is so the code amounts stay the same and we can avoid confusion in the Cash Shop, not having to charge another who card for something that costs 8k nx because the codes only give you 7.9k. Pricing would be the same, just that up the amounts to match the codes.

Everyone will be paying in terms of USD now.

Before the CAD codes were about $8 USD for 10k nx, in terms of pricing that rough estimate of $8 USD = $10 CAD. Thus, every country was essentially getting away with buying cheaper NX. The standards of living in every country is different. This change was made to accompany that. Though not a lot of people are satisfied with this, they did it to make it a bit more "fair". However, many people in America were also abusing this by purchasing codes from other countries.

Personally, I'm sad to see the cheaper NX go but this change is understandable. Just because something was done in the past, should not mean that it should be done forever. That is why things change, whether it be better or worse. They tried to convert it in terms of USD.
^ Or PayPal or buy the USD variant.

This is only a concern for those who can only physically buy karma koins(for whatever reason that may be) from stores.
