Basilers who work out, are pre workouts worth it?

I see a lot of my friends talk about hyde and it seems like they can't workout without it.

I'm thinking of trying one out but I'm scared the same thing will happen to me. Is there a lighter pre workout I can try to see how well I gauge this stuff? I heard about jack3d and was thinking of that but people tell me that it's not any good now and it doesn't do anything.

I honestly don't like preworkouts.

Most preworkouts are mostly creatine and the last time I used creatine I ended up with terrible water retention and looked bloated. I continued with it for about 2 months and by then I looked huge (pretty buff actually) but I had plenty of reason to quit because of issues with my stomach (that stuff made me die in the bathroom). After I stopped, I looked relatively smaller But my actual weightlifting results stayed.

As for the actual health risks, there really aren't none. It's really a matter of opinion. Try it out, see if the benefit outweighs the risk, and judge from there. Some people experience no water retention, some people continue to look big even without taking it, it's all random.
Just a question. I was with a friend today and he was saying how a mutual friend of ours was telling to make sure to take things like creatine and protein powders before working out to really emphasis the workout. Is that stuff actually needed? Or does that just give you fuel to keep pumping longer
Creatine is something that builds up in the system to gradually increase glycogen. It's never going to give you an immediate boost. It doesn't matter when you take it.

It's nice to have protein in your system when you're working out but it has nothing to do with fuel or "emphasizing" the workout. Carbohydrates are primary sources of fuel in humans. With the restriction of carbohydrates, fat becomes the primary source of fuel. Protein is an inefficient source of fuel. I don't think eating before a workout is all that important if you consider many people who do intermittent fasting have no problem working out fasted (short of them taking some BCAAs iirc)
Lol pls stahp. Stop with the protein powder, cavemen didn't freakin' need it and they were buff. Just plz stahp.
Protein supplements are convenient at least as a meal replacement if you're on the go or if you're on enhancements due to increased protein synthesis.
PWO have their use too. While I don't use either type of supplement I have no trouble admitting they have their uses.

I usually try to avoid it, cause my tolerance was getting high (I'd need 3 scoops)... But when I use it I usually go with C4. It pretty decent, but you'll develop a tolerance quickly.

I usually don't do pre workouts personally but I guess it can be helpful depending on what your routine consists of.

I just take banana before my workout and I get it going. But I find coffee is probably the best.

You develop a tolerance fairly quickly. You could just it every once in a blue moon when you feel like it or if you're feeling really tired, although if you're too tired you might as well just rest for the day. People saying jack3d sucks are probably comparing it to the original formula which was like a meth analog or something. I don't know (or care) about what's in the newer formula.

If safety is your top concern you'd probably just be better off taking a coffee and some B vitamins or something. Most supplements are a scam anyways. The only thing that'll give you the results supplement companies claim is pinning trenbolone acetate eod.
Yes. At least for me it is.

Really do your research though as to which pre workouts are worse. Jack3d is probably one of the worst ones for you out there.

There ARE some natural ones, but really though, you're better off drinking coffee.
