making a f/p mage

after 3 years more or less of being preoccupied with the pirate class, ive always wanted to make a f/p. after funding my mech to a point at which im satisfied, im finally going to make one. with this i have a few questions. first, which estaff would be better to use later in the levels, a 5, or 6? i really don't know whether f/p's use poison or fire moves more atm. also, i wanted to take the route of funding this mage with all tradeable equips, so which would be the best to use? im planning on making a girl character, if that matters.

I'll answer what I can. Need to look at some info first but i'll edit this once I get what I need.

Edit: I'm not 100% sure about the information im giving you, but its all I have atm. Try do double check it with someone.
I'm assuming since you've played your previous main for 3+ years you'll be inclined to play this one for a while as well. If that's the case then you should look towards RED for the staff decision. According to "What Joetangs updated Dps chart will look like Post-red" a F/p arch mage's main dps source post RED becomes mist eruption + teleport. Therefore, in the long run, en elemental staff 6 would be optimum.
As for funding with completely tradeable equips, I'd say your best option would be the root abyss items. The ones that have 100% upgrade potential upon using a cube for easy %int. Other than that, basically any tradeable accessory with % int and magic attack should suffice. However I'm noticing that most new end-game pieces of equipment are untradeable (unless you use sok) thereofre you may be limiting yourself by using completely tradeable items. On the other hand, female equipment tends to be cheaper than male so you could potentially get a lot of damage for little funds.
Sorry I probably wasn't much help. Maining a f/p has always been at a thought at the back of my head but mine is sitting at level 100 haha. Best of luck to you
