Would you reccomend Maplestory to anyone?
I was wondering if I should come back after an ~8 month break. Me and my buddies are looking for something to play together, so would you recommend new players to maplestory?

I've had many LAN parties where me and my friends started new characters and just played, been a lot of fun. As long as you all play together I don't see why this game wouldn't be enjoyable. I don't like this new trend where everyone keeps hating on a game with no valid reason what so ever. If you like the game - Play it. If you don't like the game - Don't play it. I don't see how there's a reason to hate on this game. Also it's really funny that everyone on Basilmarket, a forum about MAPLESTORY keeps hating on Maplestory, I don't understand it at all.

To a hardcore gamer. Yes. To a casual gamer or someone with little spare time? No. Everytime I do, they only reach level 30 or about 140 max before they quit. Not enough to enjoy playing with them cause they need to get to at least 160-165 for SDH. The 140 was recent, the 30 was Pre-Big Bang. They will probably reach 80 max at this time around.

That's the same reason why I came back. My friend was playing maple in the back of our class but he was on the Korean server.
The earliest I could remember was that he was in ToT training to prepare for the soon to be released Dual Blader.
