How difficult is it to fund heroes?
I am on my way to making a hero, and I really would like to know how much it would require to decently fund (maybe a clean empress set with a small amount of %str) a hero. I don't really care all that about axes or swords, but I prefer 2 hand over 1 hand.
Would it be very costly?
On another note, if anyone's in bello, I have a loveless lampion to trade for any hero equips.

Paladins can also use 2H swords, just most people prefer to use 1H because of the shield bonus...
@Kuraisenshi: They made it a change to it when it hit the official servers, they can use both 1H and 2H Swords.
How much do the usual other gears cost?
i love my 2h axe! it outdamages most heroes now adays. Its a vip tho so it is only normal speed xP

Though note in dawn warrior revamp that they use 2 handed swords in kms

In a matter of fact, the answer is no. Because the average speed for Two Handed Axe is Normal-6, that means it's a better choice price-wise.
The only difference is that how they look, which is opinion based. So it has no impact on if the weapon is better by attack power or attack speed.

Are axes flawed compared to swords? or are just people more obsessed with swords deal to aesthetic appeal?
So far, the cheapest weapon to get are the Two Handed Axe since everyone else uses any other weapons.
It's a decent choice to go with Two Handed Axe which I highly recommend if you can't afford One Handed Sword/Axe, just don't go with the uncommon Slow-7 ones.
