How much do you spend on equips?
When you're merching about how much do you spend on equips compared to how much you have total? I always find myself spending way too much and having to merch back up to whatever I had before

I currently have something like
50% of my value in NX
30% left as pure meso in order to capitalize on good deals
20% in equips that I previously bought/made and am trying to sell
You always want to hold a sizeable amount of NX code and mesos in reserve just in case a good deal/investment comes up. The main purpose of your shop is to liquidate the result of those deals, so you can continue the cycle, hopefully gaining more profit each time.
I basically stashed every last penny I had until it got to a point where I concluded I could actually start killing some profitable bosses if I invest my entire bank into some equips. At that point, I dumped my entire bank into equips/making upgrades in order to reach the next bossing tier. At the moment my next goal would be hellux, just another 2-3 pieces and I'll finally be able to drop that tanky bastard....
splurging on perm NX for da looks.
I just set a goal and save up til then, and if I haven't done that, I just use my shop to get rid of items I don't want anymore but don't want to just throw out, like old Tempest items and Branch Noses.
Personally, I only spend on equips when it increases my range enough to unlock more money making opportunities. If I can already do hard gollux, normal mag, etc. and the money I have to buy new equips will not bring me to the next bossing tier, I don't spend I just save up until I can.
I just spend all my mesos on perm NX. Set aside some petty cash fund for potions and crafting tools if need be.
I'm still saving up I have been merching for about 1 1/2 months and can only rack up 3.5 bill. Trying for find some nice %str shoes or maybe someday hyades shoes. I'm not even spending atm. I'm so stingy even when spending a few mill since saving up is my priority atm. But once i do have enough and splurge on a few bill equip, i get so lazy and don't even feel like merching for a while since getting the item.
