"play what i want"
The problem i have with that is ive been playing dragon nest alot and some classes in there are shunned by others. I'm assuming no class discrimination in this game then?
not updated tho
still lists lpq as a lvl 50 place
That's only because it was updated 2 days ago[the in-game update, not the guide]. Besides, it takes basil apparently at least 2 weeks+ to accept any changes. Will be adding changes soon

Night walker is one of the best bossing classes right now (possibly the best). Demon avenger (mentioned above) requires less funding than other classes since it uses %hp
but it is still strong. However, you should play what you like. As for damage, you want to get link skills. Get a Kanna, Xenon, and Demon Avenger to level 120 each and then
you can transfer damage link skills to your main. Kanna +10% damage, Xenon +10% all stat, Demon Avenger +10% damage. A guide on link skills created by AyumiLove
can be found in this link. http://ayumilove.net/maplestory-link-skills-guide/

As for funding a character from scratch, you should take advantage of the current Murgoth event. Winning or losing yields decent rewards, such as Advanced Equipment
Enhancment Scrolls, Tradeable Production Enchanters, Advanced Potential Scrolls, and Boss Soul Shards. For checking the prices of items, use a website called
Maple dot fm (some people might advise against using this site but you should anyway since it provides a quick price check for anything you wish to search). Basically,
just take advantage of events. You could also hunt for elite boss drops. Elite bosses spawn after a lot of elite monsters are killed. Here is a guide made by DrextalBera.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Maplestory/comments/2epnbl/everything_you_need_to_know_about_elite/

For training spots, this guide is very accurate for the current maplestory training areas. It is by AyumiLove. http://ayumilove.net/best-maplestory-training-spots-guide-v6/

As for gears, try and get fafnir items and weapons. They are very cheap right now compared to a year ago. Fafnir items are level 150 requirement. For scrolling your weapon,
I suggest spell tracing. Use spell traces on a weapon. If you have low funds, use 70%. Decent funds, use 30%. High funds, use 15%. Wait until a spell trace fever time to scroll
since the success rates are boosted substantially. 70%>95%, 30%>45%, 15%>25%. There is a spell trace fever time coming up this weekend. View the maplestory website
for more details on spell trace fever time. In addition, enhancing is very easy nowadays. There is no chance for your item to be destroyed until 12 stars (high level equipment).
Get gollux accessories and sw accessories. You will need to do prequests for these. Complete gollux prequests to gain access to commerci (sw) prequests. This link provides
information about these prequests. http://strategywiki.org/wiki/MapleStory/Tynerum_quests

Good luck and enjoy your time playing maplestory. Hope this helped.
