Wand, or Staff? Should I use an Absolab Wand, or Staff? Getting a free one from Maple Relay. Does it matter if I use one or the other? Is there a speed/damage difference? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys! :3 (Still biased using my Elemental staff tho, lol)

I/L update So, this forum is really dead (all of Basil is really) and I'm bored, so what did you guys think about our new skill and the change to the way freeze counters work? if you're not up to date, the counters now decrease as we hit the mobs/bosses, so we need to constantly spam frozen orb now along with CL. As for the second I/L 5th job skill, I rather like it, though I think it could have been better, but I find it really helps with grinding and general map clearing. The second Magician 5th job skill, however, is abysmal. (randomly casting any skill from 1st-4th job) The only usage is for Infinity, obviously, but the odds of that are so low.
Not sure if there is still anyone out there but Recently I took a liking to Ice Lightning Mage but I've some questions. 1) +1 Attack Speed or 50% Buff Duration as inner ability? I've seen that the most "recent" thread has most of the users recommend 50% Buff Duration over +1 Attack Speed but I'm unsure how true is it for today. 2) Should I fret myself and fill up the Critical Rate area in Maple Union to achieve 100% Critical Rate? I understand that Critical Damage is the strong point of Ice Lightning Mage but should I worry much about other damage sources' critical rate like Elquines, Blizzard's Final Attack and maybe Thunderstorm, since Frozen Orb and Chain Lightning has higher innate critical rate? Is 75%~80% of Critical Rate sufficient?
range to solo hellux currently at 1.7-1.77 clean. 215% boss and 86% pdr. lvl 202. can get to the last stage. but cant kill gem before timer runs out
I need help hhi everyone, currently my attack range is 1.3m with buff with icelightning mage, but my damage perline only 3 ~ 6m vs mushroom? i googled it mostly ppl with my range can do 10~15m already, issit something wrong with my character?

Hard mag tips? So I do 9-10mill lines on hard mag and I was just wondering if there are any tips in terms of how mages go about killing him. I have -2seconds abnormal neb on my top so I know that helps and about 52 stat resist. Anything I'm missing?

Im here to consult the I/Ls mighty wisdom and experience I recently broke through level 200, was way too hyped for doing 5th job which is unavailable yet, but met a setback, for my level my stats are way too low. here are some of my statistics: Boss dmg 140% Range 330-360k buffed/no infinity status resistance: 55 critical 70% my equipment is full ra set, lvl 160 mage boots, accesory set, and reinforced gollux. my biggest problem is this, my internet is terrible so doing long term quests and bosses gives me a high chance of getting lag removed from the game (making tower of oz imposible, or soloing bosses like CHT or PB) what are your recomendations for improving my mage and equipment.
I love i/l mage So i used the mega burn event to make a ice lightning mage and damn they are strong. I have a bishop but he doesnt one hit but ice lightning mage is so awesome. Its the only class that played that was able to kill hilla. Also frozen orb is really strong when used in the right place. All my 4th job skills are nearly maxed.
Ice Lightning mages and V.178 patch - Bind persists after using Freezing Breath, which now allows us to take advantage of our own bind now - 5% max critical damage from ice stack changed to 3% critical damage, so a small damage increase (25% max critical damage(12.5% average critical damage) -> 15% critical damage, or 2.5% critical damage increase) - Damage cap is now 10b, so I may test out to see if Oz rings may be viable to use outside of Dojo. - Elquines summon can be cancelled by right clicking the buff Overall, some small changes here and there(documented and undocumented) for us I/L mages, but so far I like it. Feels more consistent to boss now.
Explorer Emblem Quest Bugged? Hey, just wondering if anyone else is having a problem completing the Explorer Emblem quest, it's the part where you need to go to Utah's farm but when you try and enter it says 'you have no business here' :(

Elemental Amplification Test Test video: Description directly copied: tl;dr: Elemental Amplfication may not be giving what the description says(50% damage instead of 50% magic attack), and at the same time serves to invalidate someone's previous test video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sIZDQIMKpk). I have tested Elemental Amplification as a response to the question whether it is 50% magic attack, or 50% final damage. This testing only applies to Ice Lightning mages and Fire Poison mages as they have the skill 'Elemental Amplification'. Inner Ability for an I/L What would be some good inner abilities for an Ice Lightning?
