I would say this is mostly true since the difficulty update it received a while ago, but I've seen a night lord solo it who hit like 600-700k a star. Really amazing to see. I doubt she (or he..) could do it with the difficulty increase though.
Magnus takes skill and range to solo. You have to get used to timing/ know when to back away to avoid rushes. I would assume most classes would need to be capping damage wise to solo normal Magnus given it's not one of those classes where a solo is impossible.
