I had a chance to mess around with these a lot while doing crafts with kids that I work with.
turns out that its not too difficult to merge pieces together, so you don't necessarily have to create it all together in one go.
for example, I had this unicorn that required a 28x30 template.
I only had 14x14's, so I made the unicorn in four pieces and then merged them together. I just had to be careful when ironing using only the tip of the iron.
