Video

I made this video to help explain my entry for the "Unleash Your Imagination - Masteria PQ Design" Contest.

I worked very hard on this... especially after finding out about this contest TWO DAYS AGO... Nexon didn't front page this contest or anything. I suppose it was because of the amount of entries last time they did a contest like this. I put a lot of effort in this video and if I don't at least place in the contest I'll be quite sad lol.

Before you start the party quest, talk to Taggrin and Fiona and they'll take you into the Phantom Forest Party Quest. The story is: Their base is being demolished by Bigfoot right around the corner. After Bigfoot is defeated you chase the leprechaun through the maps until you see the true culprit of the Phantom Forest's destruction.

Stage 1: Defeat Bigfoot!
NPC Taggrin: There's the beast! Quick attack!
NPC Fiona: You the the Leprechaun escape! After him!

Stage 2: Defeat Flyeyes and Stirges!
NPC Taggrin: Not the Bats! NOT THE BAAATS! Quick get rid of them!

Stage 3: Defeat the Wraiths!
NPC Fiona: You woke up the wraiths fools! Finish them off and get that Leprechaun!

Stage 4: Escape the maze!
NPC Taggrin: Uh oh, a maze.
NPC Fiona: Check each portal and enter the one with loudest sound. You may have to go through a few maps like this...

Stage 5: Run from the Reapers!
NPC Taggrin: A Reaper! Run! Hurry to the portal!
NPC Fiona: Don't let him touch you or you'll be sorry...
NPC Taggrin: This reminds me of a block robot in a Party Quest about love...

Stage 6: Defeat the Leprechaun!
NPC Taggrin: There's the Leprechaun!
NPC Fiona: He can turn coins into monsters... If there are coin monsters on the map, you'll only do 1 damage per attack on that Leprechaun...

After you defeat the Leprechaun, Bigfoot returns with no Leprechaun on its back making it out of control and stronger than before.

NPC Taggrin: Oh no the beast is back!
NPC Fiona: ... and with no Leprechaun to control it, Bigfoot will be out of control...

FINAL STAGE! Defeat Sasquatch!
NPC Taggrin: What is that sound!?
NPC Fiona: It seems Bigfoot was just a child...

BOSS - Sasquatch: Massive HP, Large touch damage, a Foot Stomp attack that burries your bodies underground leaving your head exposed for a super stun. The super stun has a timer on it and will stack up to a minute if Sasquatch keeps attacking with the Foot Stomp.

NPC Fiona: Watch for his foot stomp attack... It can bury your body underground for a minute long stun...

NPC Taggrin: The rewards must be massive! However, you'll only find out if this Quest is made!
NPC Taggrin and Fiona: Show some support! Like this video so Nexon creates this Party Quest!
I like the reference to apq and NOT THE BEES. Is apq even still around?

Anyway it seems pretty cool. I actually lol'd when Sasquatch came out. And with someones suggestion of the Jump quest, Would be cool if it was that Valley of Heroes one they took out.
Glad you enjoyed! APQ is still around, though hardly anyone does it anymore sadly. Many players seem to enjoy the idea of jump quests, but when it comes to actually doing them they complain and moan lol. So I didn't include one. I did like doing the Valley of Heroes, but I liked having the ability to skip it even more lol. Thanks for the thoughts XD
I really like it! I love how you incorporated parts of the lore while still putting your own spins. One thing I'd suggest is something that is more cooperation-based. With the revamps lately, PQs have been all about killing and finishing the boss, but if you added something that forced everyone to put their heads together and actually figure something out, that'd be awesome; somewhat reminiscent of the old LudiPQ and OrbisPQ.

Other than that, I have no complaints! This seems like a great, easygoing and intriguing PQ which I would most definitely do!
Thanks a lot! I put quite a bit of work into it. Happy you enjoyed it!
Not THIS guy! Love the PQ idea bro.
Thanks man!
This is just killing all enemies with a single maze stage. The plot seems kinda cheesy too. Not something I would support.
Again, I tried to make it fairly simple. Perhaps it came out too simple. For the most part it is "kill all mobs" with two stages in between dedicated to not killing. I felt 2/7 stages would be enough. Sorry it wouldn't be something you'd enjoy. However, thank you for your criticism and at least giving a thought.
LMAO when i seen the sasquatch i was laughing so hard. I like the idea, but more creativity during the pq please. Jump quests, add in some dodge things just like from the battle against magnus. Add in some questionnaires. Some job specific duties. Etc. I Wish i could help pitch in on making something new. Like a full blown project or something to submit. This is some event right?

overall good job though
Most players loathe jump quests lol. So I decided not to throw one of those in there. I wanted to make it real simple for Nexon to code for the most part. Yes, this is for the "Unleash Your Imagination - Masteria PQ Design" Contest. I didn't have much time to work on it sadly. Only found out about it 2 days before the deadline. I put a lot of work into it however and I'm glad to see a lot of people like it for the most part. Thank you for the thoughts.
Nexon did front paged the contest i mean at least that is how i found out about it xD. Also Ive looked into it , i like it but at the same time its kind of ... Bleh..lol. It seems like a PQ i will do probably once or twice and then never do it again or something i would do to get the (example: Chef's Hat) and never do it again x3. Overall its nice goodluck on the contest i also entered too =P
I never saw it front paged. Just the bake off contest winners. Well sorry you don't think it's something you'd do more than a few times. Thanks for the thought though.
What are you on about?
There's a race to runaway and survive, and a portal maze as well o.o
Well he did compare it to Guild PQ, which every stage mixes something with killing monsters so not one stage is just kill all monsters. I did attempt to throw in some curve balls though lol.
I just loved the idea! Hope it will be a PQ, though I honestly doubt...
Thanks I'm happy you liked it! Even if I win, it's up to Nexon to implement it. The contest stated that the winner would be up for consideration. So the winner's idea might not even make it in. Here's hoping though!

it doesn't look all bad, really, better than most of the pqs that are already in the game
Na it's fine lol. I'm sure who ever wins the contest the content will be quite enjoyable.
You should add in a JQ for difficulty, and put the headless horsemen(may'be as big foot's protector) as a pre-boss (before bigfoot). Make the rewards items that are gained through Taggerin (I think that is his name), also a effect for Sasquatch he is able to throw enemies or blast them away (with his big fists).
I thought about adding a jump quest, but I know many players loathe them so I didn't in this design. The rewards would most likely be traded in like most party quests now. A super knockback punch would be a neat attack wouldn't it. Thanks for giving your thoughts.
sounds like just killing things
Well I thought 2/7 stages would be enough "not killing things" material. Perhaps I should have added more. Thank you for your criticism and sorry it didn't sound like something you'd enjoy.
That's what Maple is about.
Indeed it is, indeed it is. XD
at least gpq is a bit more interesting than just attacking things
Well, I wanted the PQ to be simple in design for the most part. Easier for Nexon to code. Again I felt 2/7 stages would be enough "not killing things" material, but I see it could have used a bit more beef in that department. Again thank you for your criticism and at least giving it a thought.
im not so sure about the minute stun LOL.
Hahaha. Well, the way I wanted it to work would be: the first stomp is a 10 second stun, and if you got stomped again it would stack on another 10 seconds. If the stun reaches a minute, it would no longer stack and the player can't get stunned again until after he/she is freed. Also there would be animations for the attack so players would know to get out of the way. Thank you for your thought on the idea though XD
i usually hate these thingngs butwo nice

seems pretty good
Hey thanks you two =D
Good rewards from a PQ? Unlikely. The exp would need to be great to even get people interested after the first week
With two Bigfoots before fighting Sasquatch, that's basically 3 bosses in one PQ. I had hoped the experience would be quite high for this PQ. Thanks for your criticism though, you brought up an interesting issue.
Very Nice!
I love how you created this through a video which was pretty cool!
I also like how I think you referenced to the Not the BEEES guy but maybe not.
Some things that you should probably change: 1minute stun? Maybe you just put that for a dialogue purpose but yeah.
Also, I like how you tied Bigfoot to the story of the quest; it was really nice.

Some suggestions
I think it'd be nice if you implemented the use of those Nasty and EVIL crimson trees HAHA

It'd be nice if Nexon saw this on Basil as well as YouTube so they could see the input of users like me, also.
Few Questions-
What lv range do you prefer this PQ to be for? I know Nexon will make the decisions if you win, but the creator's input is helpful, as well.
Do you think besides exp, you could do a PQ exchange reward thing, like how in Tangyuun's Cooking PQ you redeem your certificates for an equip? Maybe, you could redeem Sasquatch Toes!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I was hinting at Not the Bees lol. For the stun, I wanted something Unique that would encourage teamwork "Quick rush him away!". The way I wanted it to work would be: the first stomp is a 10 second stun, and if you got stomped again it would stack on another 10 seconds. If the stun reaches a minute, it would no longer stack and the player can't get stunned again until after he/she is freed. Of course he wouldn't use that stomp attack all that often and an animation would show when he's about to use it so it would be avoidable if the player is paying attention. The PQ could have a reward trade system as most PQ's do. Though I didn't have enough time to flesh out the rewards. If Nexon emails me I'll let them know, though that's unlikely.
Sounds like a thing I can solo in around 3 minutes F3

thats a big NO for me.. not fun at all
I had originally intended for both Bigfoot's HP to be in the billions and Sasquatch's to be higher still. Though for some that might be too tough. Sorry it sounds like it didn't turn out to be something you'd enjoy though.
Honestly, it sounds simple which is good because it probably will give EXP for those who solo. Party play wise, it's not that challenging imo.

Good luck!
I tried to make it simple, because it would have a greater chance of being made (easier to code). Though I wanted to throw in some original ideas, like the maze where you have to pay attention to sound and Sasquatch's super stun. Like I said I had intended for Sasquatch's HP to be in the billions but I wouldn't want it to difficult for the average player. Thank you for your criticism and good points =D
Idk why but i expected a screamer but anyways the PQ sounds good but i think the monster should be stronger
I wouldn't pull a screamer lol. I didn't even put in the video how strong he would be haha. Though again I intended for billions of HP. However, I wouldn't want it to difficult for the average player. Good point though, the boss should indeed be strong.
sounds dull ._. to me
Thanks for the constructive criticism lol? Sorry it didn't turn out to be your cup of tea. Thanks for at least giving a thought on it though.
