Starting fresh
Hello
I've been thinking about coming back to ms after a couple of months break. I've heard that most servers are quite dead now though and was wondering what server I should start on, all of my old characters are on zenith but I don't really care if I have to start over. And while I'm at it, what class would be a good option without any funds?

Scania has the most, but when I played, man there were quite a lot of mean people at henesys.
But Zenith is pretty dead. You should see renegades, huehuehue.

@Nat244 The real maple community fell off in 06-08 for me. Some have lingered on but not enough to keep the spark alive. I'm glad league of legends took people most of them were the toxic ones to begin with. All classes started feeling like they did the same thing soon as flash jump was given to more then just Hermits/Chief Bandits and the influx of new jobs. It seems every big patch update makes the jobs closer and closer to the same thing other then whatever is left far as party buffs.
The way I picked my main character to play when I first started was by finding out what the options were and picking what seemed the coolest and most fun to me. Not sure why people would choose for any other reason. Don't worry about funds just play the game. It does make it harder endgame though to level and boss which is why I don't really play anymore I'm unfunded too. Like Nat244 said Scania is the most populated if you want least dead but I'm pretty sure the free market prices are insane there. All prices are insane to be honest.
Also expect Maple Story 2 to be popping when that first comes out even though so far it looks like most generic korean grind em ups. The jobs are looking awesome though and it's a prequal to maple I heard which is also awesome.

when you get near level 200 u will start to realize that all the classes are pretty much the same, the only difference is some are better for farming or bossing and same have high utility or damage and others dont but in the end there all the same it just comes down to what the player wants, if he wants a character mainly for bossing etc (theirs no best class its all on what the player likes so dont listen to anyone who tells u "this is better" )
play any server you feel comfortable, btw Sciana has the most players
