Where do all the mesos come from?
Hi Basil!
I was wondering, where do all the mesos come from? Millions (if not billions) of mesos are lost in tax every day which means that with time the amount of mesos in the maple economy should decrease, but somehow this doesn't happen? It seems that people don't actively farm mesos (everyone tries to merchant, which increases loss of mesos through tax), so with little input and huge expenditure, how does the maple economy stay afloat? Even with meso bags and 'meso sites', I don't think the few individuals willing to trade real cash for in-game currency will be able to support the whole of the maple economy; a person who inputs 1 bil in meso bags will have that input negated after a day of fm tax reductions (the server as a whole). So basil, the question is, WHERE DO ALL THE MESOS COME FROM? Dun dun dun! D:
Edit: Regarding the '1 million payers get 1 meso each = 1million mesos' idea, that works given that the amount of mesos you pick up exceeds your potion usage. As a warrior I find it hard to make much profit from my training, and I think many close range or melee classes would be in the same situation? So basically the CBs/Shadowers and Sins/NLs (or any other class with high avoid) are fueling economy? Hm?

This
@darkstars590: I'm talking about when Maple first started. Where did people get all the mesos to buy their items, for example, the newest world "Galacia" where did all their mesos come from? How could they buy the simplest items like 100% Scrolls or even pots if their were no mesos currently circulating. But yet there are people rich as hell who reside in that world.
them hackers got billions and billions from killing monsters. this pumped money into the maple economy, allowing prices to inflate as high as millions of mesos.
this is why it's hard for new players get rich.
or Nexon, at the start of MS, dropped i trill mesos.LOL
pq bonuses / monster drops/ shadowers littering their mesos across maps?
if 1 million players get 1 meso then there's 1m mesos. If 1m players get 1k meso theres's 1b right there. so it's monster drops basically since the dawn of maple history and lots of money moving around.
Thats true, but when Maple first started, where did all these mesos come from? I mean yes, monster drops and npcing items gave alot but how were the trillions of mesos int he Maple Economy get there?
selling random equip drops to NPCs, getting mezarz from monsters, etc. Intelligence fail OP
I've noted that in my discussion. My question is whether the mesos you earn from doing so exceeds the mesos spent in a) potions b)ship rides etc and c)tax from trades. If most people can make a profit this way, then yes the economy is sustained. Given that currently the economy is sustained, this would seem to be the case. I am simply creating food for thought (well for me anyways)
npcs have unlimited mesos thats how npcs are teh legit meso generators haha
Meso farmers
equip drops?
everyday million of equip drops and sold to npc.
