You need to change your screen resolution, but you probably dont have the cababillity to remove the black bars. I would just play in window mode if I were you

with Nvidia cards, you need to right click on your desktop, open the Nvidia settings, and look for flat panel scaling, and click the one that says scale to full panel size or something along those lines

i perfer the bars over stretched out/distorted graphics

xD this accually happens to me too. the way to fix is pointless because it just stretches the maple screen. if you want that, i can help

I actually like it. My desktop is like 18 inches wide but only 10 tall, and it stretches out maplestory so my characters always look really fat and distorted. But on my laptop it does the sidebars and everything looks normal. The only downside is that I can see more of the map on my desktop, but not my laptop.

IT stopped doing it to me after the patch before Golden Temple once they added that in it went back to bar mode

i hope theres a way to fix it cuz its really anoying

your screen resolution is wider then the games, i also have this. to my knowledge there is no way to fix it, i just play in window mode

Does the same thing to me can't figure it out either
