Maple failing to start - Windows 7

I seem to be having trouble starting Maplestory after the v0.96 Patch.

I use Gamelauncher, it all works fine, I click start game... nothing happens. Hackshield doesn't even appear. Is this Nexon's way of forcing me to use the Website? Or is there a fix to this nonsense?

What I tend to do when new patches screw up GameLauncher (I refuse to start the game from the website) is rename it to something like 'gghgfdsgf'. The only thing I need to do after that is rename it back to 'GameLauncher' when a new patch comes around - one that doesn't break it.

Here's an easy fix I found:

Edit the Shortcut box for GameLauncher, and in the Target field, put:
"C:\Nexon\MapleStory\MapleStory.exe GameLaunching"
Without the quotes. GameLauncher works for me now.

EDIT: Basil messed that up. There should be backslashes in that mess of code... But If you look at the Target box, You should be able to figure it out.

Gamelauncher works fine on my two Windows XP computers. It's not like I'm sitting there waiting for Maple to come up each time, I have other things I can do in the meantime.

I just stated the website works.

I prefer using the old Gamelauncher method, since it's easier to switch between accounts, and I'm not required to keep a browser open, which uses up precious memory.

EDIT: @OrionTempest , Watching Maplestory.exe in processes, it sits at 30k memory usage... no CPU utilization. Left it for 10 minutes before ending it and trying again. Done this about 5-6 times.
