I miss the old minecraft Anyone else?

Ah.. Nostalgia. Minecraft has made me more and more depressed with every patch, kinda like maplestory (hehe).
Does anyone remember when Minecraft started getting worse and worse with each update? I think 1.7.3 Beta was the last constructive update.
I'm just sick of spawning in either
1. An endless snow biome
2. An endless jungle biome
Sure, there are some nice features mixed in, but really Mojang? Fireworks? It feels like Mojang has taken all the sandbox-ey elements out of minecraft, with the implementation of the End. The "End"? Of a sandbox game? There is no "End" to Minecraft.
Sorry about my little rant, I just had to get it out there

Do we have a Basil Minecraft server? Because that'd be cool if we did.

I think what made me not want to play minecraft too much anymore is that eventually you are just doing the same thing.
Its even worse in tekkit, you do the exact same thing, build machines in the exact same order, its jsut alot of waiting and boringness.
More fun with friends IMO and i still play once in a while to build pixel art or something like that.

Nothing to really complain about with minecraft. Most new things added aren't a must. If anything just get a mod to change things up. I still remember when minecraft didn't have beds. They've made the game much better now compared to then.

I think TBH the problem is that Minecraft is no fun without anyone else to play with.
And with all the stuff he's adding means more people make different servers with different updates and states FORLIKEEVER
And so then you never get to play with anyone good and then you get bored and play a different game.
I only even play Minecraft for Voltz. :
And even then I don't play it now lolol

Minecraft died for me when Notch decided to lie to us & promise me too much that he couldn't deliver, Not a single proper help section for minecraft crashing, Notch himself, The amount of twelvies that breed on minecraft, the amount of minecraft related articles around the world & the complete & utter overrated game itself, you get bored in under an hour of gameplay.

Miss it so much. That was the funnest thing I did with the basil community.

I enjoyed minecraft much more when I just started.
But I think that's only because it was new to me, and the idea of being in a sandbox world where you could create anything you wanted and where the imagination was literally the limit -- I think that novel concept was what appealed to me.

What ruined Minecraft for me wasn't the changing of the game, but rather my burgeoning familiarity (and boredom) associated with it.

In otherwords:
the game didnt get bad i just got bored of the idea
First maplestory (or at least when I recall) now minecraft. What next? WoW?
It all went down after 1.2 release for me.
Every patch up until 1.8 had something constructive to bring, and they were each great additions to Minecraft. I feel that 1.8 Beta (adventure patch) was the "Big Bang" patch of minecraft. The old spawning mechanics were just so much better.
Personally I like newer-Minecraft compared to the older-Minecraft.
And it's not like players MUST play The End or make fireworks.
All the functionality's essentially the same to me; there's just more options to pick from. <3
Well, I was just using those as examples, just like how nexon prioritizes patching glitches that help the player over the glitches that hurt the player.

The thing that irks me the most is the new spawning and visual updates.
