This has been the first time I played maple in around 1-2 years and Im kinda sad. My odd job theif just got ruined because of the revamp but in terms of normal skills Im quite happy

I'm still wondering which is best between shade split and shuriken burst. Anyone can light me in this matter?

@Toscox: nope, doesn't require it at all (atleast last I checked o.o) I left mine at 11 anyways... so it should be fine.. haha I hate macroing phase and bstep, so I use steal and bstep for a macro for mobs... lol I know, sad, but w/e, it works.

Just don't use steal... b-stab hits 6 with plus the new sp at 70%... Isn't that gnarly enough. Plus m/e destorys 15 monsters at a time. You can CE > M/E to mob too 16coin drops 15 boom (still some left over).

@whiteforce18: Could be, I thought MC requiered SB to be maxed but if it doesn't then yes it's best not to max it.

@vaughnkills and @Toscox: I could have sworn that we max everything but SB(11) in 2nd, since it gets COMPLETELY replaced in 3rd?

For a shadower - 1st job max all but L7(1), 2nd job max all but Steal(1), 3rd job max all but Dark Flate(11), 4th job in order : Dagger expert -> Boomrang Step -> Shadower Instinct -> Shadow Shifter -> up to your liking.

I guess overall people who own thieves like the revamp, as strong as Night Lord got I can't get over Quad Throw animation it literally made me log off my NL after using it twice. Since the revamp was pretty nice I decided to start making videos of bossing mainly, maybe I'll do more later though.

I hate the fact that, after i Hasted myself and go into Dark Sight, the Haste effect is gone, and when I pop out of DS again, I have to rehaste, because even though my Haste is still up, the effect is gone.

All in all im about 85%/15% in favor of the patch,i dont agree with our main mobbing skill being steal and i dont agree with that flashy purple smokescreen,but i dont think its that big of a hindrance as long as you know how and where to use it. I was thinking that maybe at a boss who is mobile and uses damage reflect could be a mega fail for smokescreen,but i think if the shad is smart enough to move it back more so that people can still get a clear view of the boss while still being masked themselves,that it could work it very nicely. So all in all,im loving the revamp i must say.

Slow animations suck though....but its the price you pay for being so dam powerful now hahahaha!

I love to enjoy the game with other ppl also,makes it more fun so yea the revamp and the whole generade patch were good,this bring haters but also a lot of aliveness and happiness

I'd rather keep Steal, and lose Dark Flare instead. Hell I'd sacrifice Dark Flare for Assaulter every day of the year.

Very great and well deserved revamp for the thief class. Despite the shadower effects and skill(s) looking much like the dual blades, I am very satisfied with this one. However, I am highly anticipating the pirate revamp for GMS more.

Only major dislikes are the delay when using the new haste animation and removal of band of thieves for CB's.

I wasted 5 honsters today while ToT prequesting.
I wish I could have chakra back and lose steal.

To be honest it exceeded my expectations. I was only really excited about Quad Star, but now that its here I think the other things they changed are awesome. I don't really have a bad thing to say about it. I do miss some things, though. Meso Up was awesome, as I actually used it all the time (it was in one of my main macros). Drain is obviously gunna be missed, but they made up for it. Finally we got some flashy skills, and I do play this game for fun so I am attracted to cool looking stuff.

Actually, I have one thing I don't really like. I kind of feel like I'm going against what the description of a NL says. We are supposed to have low HP but now I have (what I consider) a lot. Eh, at least I can dodge a lot more now. Thats pretty cool

I'm loving the revamp itself, but I really can't stand some of the buff animations. They take so unnecessarily long and it's annoying at places like Mu Lung or any boss that can dispel you without a ladder present.

Use it to either give yourself 50 attack and some pdr, or use it to assasinate with a KO on regular monsters.

Assassinate is better than expected.
Midnight Carnival is better than expected.
Phase Dash is worse than expected.

I miss being able to jump between platforms by using Assaulter. It used to be such an awesome way of moving around. You could even use it when pushed off a platform to teleport yourself back before you went too low. It was so handy... Phase Dash doesn't even come close to how mobile Assaulter made us. If only it had the vertical range of Assaulter!

Sigh... There's nothing I can do but get used to the new Shadower, I guess. Sucks that the class I fell in love with back at '06 had one of its staple moves changed just like that, for no reason.

@achyif: I agree with the fj thing, screws my PD and bstep timing.
@hazeknight: inb4 you rebuff on rope and accidently FJ into zakum.

A few things
-omfgggg haste/shadow star takes sooooo dam long to cast
-quad is friggin fast
-sudden raid is fun.. But it's too bad that I lag during the entire animation
-RIP drain it's time I get vamp
-I miss alchemy's duration effect already
-what's my mobbing skill now? Long range? Mid range? Idk
-I feel uncomfortable without meso up... Bleh no more bags at wolf spiders I suppose
-double jump fj is ruining my combinations and throwing me off... I suppose that's only temp

Phase Dash is seriously stronger than I anticipated. By a lot. And midnight Carnival basically creates a Meso fountain... <3

Even though, i'm not a thief... I enjoy how everyone is so excited about it. When I was at LHC they were constantly admiring their skills. So I like the revamp because it brings people something to be thankful about instead of constantly complaining...
