I never study. The final exams in a public school smack-dab in the middle of the ghetto here in Oregon aren't exactly -difficult- to pass.
Edit: S'with all the people braggin' about bein' in AP classes and honors? It's high school. The majority of you will leave this place and find a minimum-wage job that would hire anyone that could speak English and know how to hold a bloody spatula.
The community doesn't want another Einstein. It wants people with work ethic and know-how, not the quadratic formula memorized to the tune of Pop Goes the Weasel.
I actually think the people on basil are smarter than average people in intellect o-o;
They're going to go far in life :O
Anyone want to teach me how you people get straight A's without studying that much? I study ap physics and calc at least 8 hrs a day and I still get bare 89 calc
89% Only? Cry me a river. I'd be happy with just an A in Math ._.
ugh chem...
Physics
Chemistry
Math (Adv and Ext 1)
I've given up on English since no amount of English studying can help me. To make things worse, I am forced to do English Ext 1...
Economics is bleh.
Supposed to be studying for Zoology right now... Final is tomorrow.
Physics and Pre Calc.
I'm borderline in both.
Although I'm in Australia, school hasn't started.
@UAPaladin: we don't have mid terms . We have test every 2 weeks >.< and if i study 30-40 minutes a day with calc or physics id be getting under 10 percent not even joking
I don't either. I just have tests whenever the teacher decides to give us tests and finals at the end of both of the semesters. Also, try to actually understand why something is there. Instead of memorizing a formula, try to figure out why that formula is there, or how you can get that formula, it'll help you memorize things more easily. While doing your homework, try not to look at your formulas or notes for whatever you're taking, but if you're not sure, take a peek, and this way, you're quizzing yourself while studying. If homework isn't required, do it anyways. Just pay a lot of attention in class and try to completely understand stuff while learning it in class, if you don't totally understand it, make sure you ask the teacher. Honestly though, if you have to study more than an hour for just one class daily, you should consider being put in one of the lower classes, no offense meant. Sorry if I'm not really helping much, I have like a semi-photographic memory (it's like a weird genetic thing on the male side of my dad's family, both my dad and grandpa are like that), I memorize things extremely easily so I don't really have any study skills.
I think I got a 100 on my algebra honors final~!
But... I still have to take my world history and life science finals... o.o

Learn the stuff while you're in class, and get good grades then, and then you won't have to try hard on your finals really. I studied for maybe 2-3 hours for chemistry (we covered A LOT over the year), maybe 30-40 minutes for English, and less than 20 minutes for everything else.
