New update is terrible
Let's go over all the things that changed and why it's pretty much terrible:
- Although I'm glad that "LIKES" and "AUCTIONS" are shown with a different look and are easily told apart from a quick glance: [b]I hate that how "LIKES" are displayed.[/b] To actually know what it is, you have to hover your mouse over the star to figure out what that number stands for. What's the significance of the star anyway? If @mrbasil wanted a more graphically driven layout, why not use the good-ol thumbs up to represent a LIKE?
- Quoting / Editing / PMing now is annoying. I didn't even know where to click when I wanted to quote someone, because the list icon didn't even read out what it was by hovering. For people who don't post that often, that might be confusing for them to figure it out.
- Hovering over the clock to show the time a post was made seems unnecessary.
[b]- Friends no longer have a "friend" icon displayed in their posts.[/b]
[b]- Clicking on the "SCREEN" or "VIDEO" icon to load that basilers screen or video, nothing loads. It doesn't even open a new page, it's just like a dead link.[/b]
- The only thing I like now is how the "ONLINE" isn't so predominant within the post.
Oh well, I guess I shouldn't be that concerned because things will just get changed again next month.

You're getting ahead of yourself kid.
The icons blend into the colour of the thread box where posts are contained. It's like playing a call of duty game, or battlefield 3: brown and bloom, or in this case, [b]GREY[/b]
Still can't add ABs.
The pencil is obviously ''Edit''
The icons are not to hard to understand, but it would help if you could hover over it to see what it is.
The new icons confuse me. There's the quote bubble, a pencil, a letter, a scrap of paper, and a link. Except there is no hover state of any of them except the quote bubble.
- I tried clicking the pencil on @Davyn's post, and was brought to my old post from earlier in this thread. Weird. [i]Edit: Okay, that was a glitch to be able to see the pencil on other users posts. Now it only exists on your own posts so you can edit.[/i]
- The letter opens PMs.
- The scrap of paper saved his comment into a 'scrap', whatever that is.
- And the link saved the comment post as a link.
Also, I can no longer edit my main post in the thread. None of those icons work.
@below, yeah they're pretty obvious but I was just also testing to see if any of them had glitched functionality but they all seem to work fine.

@Davyn: Strangely enough I can quote anyone on this page except you (weird). We can think of them as updates. Keep some kind of log on what's happening.
The clock just moved a little lower compared to where it was before.

THANK YOU FOR BRINGING BACK THE NORMAL CLOCK! I'm with Pavchka. It's the first time in a long time I've been able to witness live updates to the site. It's difficult to hold back criticism until it's all set in stone, I have to admit.
As far as I know this is still a work in progress, the layout went through another change about 15 minutes from now.
I'm not so enthusiastic about the clock, but I like the rest, including the reports function that's now miles away from the PM button.
EDIT: It just went through [i]another[/i] change and I can see the time now without having to hover over the clock (except for the Thread Starter's post). Let's bear with MrB and see how stuff'll unfold. This is the first time for me that I actually witness the place change step by step. O_O

I honestly like the nice clean look.
Instaid of the clock icon they should just show the time so you don't have to hover over it, and the like button should just say ''like'' or somthing.
It doesn't work that well but it does look nice

You still can, before there was a * beside the date when it was edited, it's the same but now you have to put your cursor over the clock to see if it has a * or not.

but the problem is that people who quote you, then edit you out, still appear on your quote list...

There used to be an asterisk * shown beside the date/time of the post, but now you can't tell when people do.

Ikr, the whole online thing is such a letdown.
the -bluebar- was always easier to identify.

there's only three icons that you can click where the old quote thing was....try taking the time to hover over them and hit the one that seems like it will give you more options (idk maybe the one that has multiple lines as its icon). Screens is bolded compared to the rest of the text (other than the message being left and the username), I think that auctions is bolded as well. You guys are just afraid of change (i am too). I feel like human beings should have the ability to adapt to minor changes and be able to function without an instruction prompt every step of the way. >.<
lol if u try to delete a message in that thing besides the bell, your account gets logged.
deleting your own message = gets yourself banned
