OT: I don't only listen to modern day kpop really.. few people seem to realize that there's also underground korean music and old school kpop.
Some of my favorite artists are: After school, Clazziquai, Epik High, SNSD, BoA, Brown Eyes, Byul, 4Men, Untouchable, SES, T-ara, Eluphant, Drunken Tiger, Primary, IU, Verbal Jint, Kim Bum Soo, g.o.d., Deux, Dynamic Duo, G.NA, Geeks, K. Will, KCM, Leessang, MC Sniper, miss A, Nell, Noel, Urban Zakapa, Outsider, Quiett, Secret, Shinhwa, TBNY, Younha, Tasha, 10cm, and many more i can't remember..

I just started like it more, and I'm not saying I'm a fan, yet. I only started like a few songs from Big Bang haha.
I don't have any favorites.

This will probably be flamed, but you probably already know this.. ._.

But I'm mostly a B2uty, Elf, Exotic, and Cassie. (Which I can't wait till Exo finally comes back ;

I know what you mean with disliking B2ST, but this is a preference thing. I mean when I listen to B2ST I want to dance like a retard xD The same goes for some 2NE1 songs. I'm more of a like... feel comfortable with the song-type of guy. The song must have like, a click feeling to it for me so that I have to like it. It doesn't necessarily has to be like Dance pop or reg pop o3o Also, about the "cool boy" vibe, I don't feel that way XD I don't know how to describe it though :T

There's definitely some kpop that does appeal to me. Pandora - Kara is a prime example, and so are all the songs by Exid.
I think I've listened to around 450 different groups or artists by now, and I agree that 2NE1 is rather unique, but their songs are not as unique as they could be. Their songs have a very similar feeling to each of them. I love you feels similar to Lonely or I hate you.

I really dislike B2ST though. Their songs bore me and if I do like one, I get bored of it fast. You can say that they give off a "cool boy" vibe in their songs. But that vibe doesn't appeal to me at all, I don't prefer songs that make me want to rock my head, but songs that make me want to get up and dance like a retard.

Call me hipster, but I've been listening to PSY for 3 or 4 years now, so his Gangnam Style still appeals to me, and whether or not it's popular wouldn't have affected my opinion of it. Though I'm happy for the guy.

Figures. Kpop fans are all over Big Bang. I come to these threads sometimes to hope to find someone who loves something other than the big time k-pop groups like Big Bang, KARA, SNSD, EXO, etc.

I don't like K-pop. I like K-music. There's a few K-pop songs I do like, but I mostly lean towards K-R&B, K-dance pop (yes there's a difference between pop and dance pop, a pretty huge one), and ballads. I'd say my top choices are

Chi Chi
Exid
T-ara
Tablo
Secret

But most of all, I love Jun Areia. He's not a singer or anything, he's a DJ who specifically remixes K-music. A lot of songs that I found either unbearable or sub-par were made AMAZING because of this man. More than half my favorite songs are songs that he remixed. Such as Troublemaker; I dislike the original, but the remixed version is amazing.

One of the few genres of music I can literally not stand one bit.

I think TS, is leaving out Gangnam Style because most people who hated KPop suddenly turns into "OMG I LOVE KPOP THEIR MUSIC IS SO AMAZING I OVE THEM SO MUCH OMG PSY FOREVER YEA!" appeared when Gangnam Style came out.

I don't really have a favorite group but IU is one of my favorite solo artists. I prefer to listen to korean hip-hop and ballads. Epik High and Davichi are probably my favorite for those genres. ^^
