The story of Maplestory
Ok guys, this is a question i had for a long, long time now...
Can anyone tell me the storyline of Maplestory from 8 years ago till now?
See, there's the storyline all the way from the explorers to now, which is the hayato and Kanna characters
Each of these classes has their own stories, which intersect with each other's. Which is why i get confused since i forget my last char's story line when i play the new one which has something to do with the last one!
So i'm making this thread to see if anyone can tell me the true story of Maplestory, which also connects to the story now. Even any updates which has something to do with the Maplestory storyline can be helpful! People pls help me find out about this story so that i can truly know what is going on in the MapleWorld!

wow that's all... very impressive especially Nimbles's post i also liked the site Laviathan gave me as well, this will definately let me be on ahead for the story of Maplestory xD if there's anymore, like the current's progress so far, i would appreciate it a lot
The storyline is too long for Basil. The story of it now is this: the Black Mage unleashed hell on Maple then the 5 Heroes (Mercedes, Aran, Evan, Luminous and Phantom) came and sealed him away. Demon Slayer used to be part of the Black Mage's generals but he defected, attacked the Black Mage but got defeated and sealed away. He then joined the Resistance along with Wild Hunter, Mechanic and Battle Mage. Oddly enough Edelstein is the main center point for Maple's story now as it has been revealed that it is where the Black Mage was born. The town is now the home of the Black Wings, a secret cult dedicated to the resurrection of the Black Mage. How it is supposed to go is this: the explorers were the first fighters against the Black Mage, then the Cygnus Knights joined in and out of the Explorer class came Heroes that sealed off the Black Mage. The Big Bang was the day that the power of the Black Mage touched reality. For a brief instant all of existence...ceased to exist. When it returned, nothing was the same. The Resistance was set up to fight against the Black Wings attempt to resurrect the Black Mage. And the story now continues from then onwards. We fight the Black Mage's monsters and generals as to become as strong as possible so that one day we may defeat the Black Mage again, which will probably never happen.
