when i first found out my mind was blown...
didn't understand why none of my hammers worked on any of my empress equips... when i got the hammers to work, they all failed though >.<

You are taking it from your equip inventory and not your equipment right? It wont let you hammer stuff that you are not wearing.

Are you dragging the Golden Hammer onto the hat in your equipment like when scrolling? You have to double click the Golden Hammer and then select the hat in your inventory.
