isn't the whole point of that show to be slow and unappealing? i quit early into season 2 because none of the characters were appealing enough to warrant the lack of zombie action.
The show's been slow since they lost Sophia. Here's how the series progresses now. 1. Conflict from previous episode resolved in the first five minutes of the new episode. 2. Characters get together and TALK about what just HAPPENED. 3. They talk some more, because this is the end of the world and things are DRAMATIC 4. MORE TALKING 5. Switch scenes to some MORE TALKING 6. A zombie appears 7. "CAAAARL." 8. Admittedly decent gunfight goes down. 9. Death seems imminent. 10. Episode ends.
NEXT WEEK ON THE TALKING DEAD 1. Conflict from previous episode resolved ... etc.
inb4 "most shows follows this formula." The Walking Dead was exciting in season 1; I looked forward to each episode, even if there were only six. These days, I can't even be bothered to watch. I just view 'em all at once online. Ever since that goddamned barn, man. . .

That hitch hiker looked pretty modern/legit though. Probably from another camp or something, but in all honestly, he's a sucker who was ignored.
