Weird hacking, didnt expect it like this
Ok, Im not sure what responses I will get but I am going to be 100% honest and please bear with me.
As a maplestory player, I have sololy played maplestory and no other nexon game. I bought 50k nx last week, spent one marvel machine and had 45k nx left. When I checked my balance yesterday, I found out that someone had purchased this. http://oi49.tinypic.com/op6ae.jpg
Does anyone have the slightest idea why my maplestory account was hacked for Duengon Fighter purely? What was weird indeed was that my maplestory accounts and my other accounts associated were not touched. I have changed my password along with email info here and there. Cleared my temp files,did not give info or go on any suspicious websites.

Also, does anyone know what those duengon fighter purchases are? Are they actually useful or is it just items that he bought to just waste my $45..

@TryToHard: Run a scan just to make sure it wasn't some form of keylogger, change your pw, make sure to use a nice secure PIC as well, and you should be fine. I suspect Nexon is prone to timing attacks to farm valid user IDs, or otherwise leaked the information through their horrible security. Just make sure there is enough entropy in your password, and nobody should be able to brute force it.
It is safe to continue your account as long as you virus scan your computer> change your password> make sure you don't fall for any phishing sites.

Ah. That makes sense, my pw was short. Just didnt know how anyone got my id.

If your password was like 7 characters or something, you probably got brute forced. Too bad you don't play DFO or you would have a goblin pad (like a PIN) to protect it. Make sure you use a long password. Forget the crap about numbers and special symbols, but mix some caps into the middle and make sure it is LONG. If you can make it 15-20 characters minimum you should be ok.
