Coming back after a long hiatus

As the title says, I'm coming back after a while and need a bit of help. I am going to be "maining" 2 classes. One will be a Wind Archer and the other needs to come from a list of classes I already have. I prefer a class with decent survivability against both Mobs and Bosses. If push comes too shove I can also just level my Pally strictly for bossing because I tend to play worse with classes that lack survivability and mobility because I don't always pay enough attention to the HP bar and I'm good at timing and controlling mobile classes. The choice of class is between:

Mercedes (I have a thing for Archers... idk what it is or why but I tend to love these classes despite bad survivability)
Phantom (I heard these are incredibly versatile and might be what I need. They also seem pretty cool)
Bishop (Support 101. I have a tendency to play well with Support classes. I enjoy the massive utility they have)
Battle Mage (This is like a combination between my favorite class [mages] and my strongest playstyle [warriors] so in theory it is a great choice. Idk about the 1 move spam though)
Shadower (The OG of Maple imo. Great mobility, apparently pretty solid survivability, but apparently expensive. That's something I can't do too well is funding a char)

I already have one of each of these but I'm curious as to how they play later in levels. Chances are I'm not hitting 170+ which is where BaM's apparently get really good, but I do plan on leveling decently high. Right now I'm kind of leaning towards Merc/Phantom/Shad but wanna hear what you guys have to say about the classes and how they play.
Also I have no idea where to train from 40-90.

EDIT: Regarding the maining 2 thing, one will be strictly because I love the class and how it plays (Wind Archer) and the other will be more practical uses like bossing, taking the funding etc.

I like how rude that comment is. If you read you can see I'm already leaning towards a couple of classes. The questions I'm asking about are also pretty unrelated (survivability and mobility) from experience with the class. The reason I'm asking is because I don't have these characters at a high level yet so I don't know their upper level play. Leveling them all up to a higher level is too time consuming for me. 4th job is what I don't know so I'm looking to get answers from people that have experience with their 4th job play, biases or not. I don't have the time to level 5 classes to a decent enough 4th job level to really get used to how they play. If this wasn't clear enough perhaps it was my fault, but I'm sure most people understood that from the post. I even had enough opinion to narrow it down to 5 classes that I enjoy. If you aren't going to be helpful your comments are not necessary.

Also, if the intent of the comment was not to be rude or snappy I apologize for giving it in my response. Just ignore that part and take in the rest of what I said.

I'm not incredibly funded but I'm not dirt poor either. I can get good equips but I am a more casual player so damage isn't my main concern.

@LitheMovement
I don't really mind that part. I was never really interested in bossing that much to begin with, but my world is kind of dead/dying and I have no connections and need Mastery Books. That's the main reason I was looking into it. I also toyed around with my Shad and my one concern is Meso Explosion or whatever its called. I don't particularly care for the new mechanics. Thanks for the training spots and Shad also has a nice dual-role.

I completely understand the maining two thing. I didn't articulate the purpose well enough in the OP but edited it to give a better idea. I'm not really going to be funding the Wind Archer much if at all. just gonna transfer equips from my Marksman and call it a day. And yea, Pally's just don't die. Mine is pretty low leveled but I still have 0 problems regarding health ever. Regardless of what I'm doing.

@wolfexe
Almost a year. If you look at my Char list you can see all the characters I have. I'm not sure how psyched I'm going to be leveling classes I don't like to 120, but if I begin taking Maple seriously I'll definitely consider it.

All classes need thousands of dollars to be effective. Hope you're ready to spend!

If you're likely not hitting 170+, you're leaving out the toughest bosses. You still have some nice alternatives, so Shad is going to work the best with your standards and goals for this game.

Of course, if you decide to go further and get funded, you can always switch to DB later, something that's better for high-end deals.

Level 40-60 is going to be themed dungeons for convenience, just look them up under the Tots icon. 60-90 should be Magatia, probably sand rats and scorpies maps in ch 1 specifically.

1. Don't main 2 classes. Its hard enough to fund one to do decent damage in this power creep game let alone 2.
2. My recommendation is Pally or Phantom. I have heard great things about Pallys in terms of survivalbility, damage, buffs, and skills. I recommend Phantom obviously as I am a phantom and our dealing out extremely fast dps, moving main dps attack, teleport, free autorevive, and OP as fuu skill stealing put us at the top. Only downside is the expensiveness of luk %.

conclusion: Id say fund a pally solely

How long have you been gone? A number of classes I'd STRONGLY suggest getting to 120 for link skills and char cards. Like, phantom 120 gives a link skill for 10% crit, DS is boss damage. As a whole, they are a massive boost to any player.
